Abstract
ÖZET ` YORGO BACANOS'UN TAKSİMLERİ ÜZERİNE BİR ÇALIŞMA ` konulu bu araştırma; İstanbul Teknik Üniversitesi Sosyal Bilimler Enstitüsü' nde Yüksek Lisans Tezi olarak hazırlanmıştır. Yorgo BACANOS'un taksimlerinin incelendiği bu tezde, önce BACANOS'un hayâtından bahsedildi. Sonra bulunabilen eserlerinin güfteleri ve notaları verildi. İcrâcılığının genel özellikleri incelendikten sonra, İstanbul Radyosu arşivi, özel arşivler ve diğer kaynaklarda bulunan icralarının listesi sunuldu. Bazı taksimleri notaya alındı ve içlerinden karakteristik olanların analizi yapıldı. III SUMMARY A STUDY ON INSTRUMENTAL SOLO OF YORGO BACANOS This asser tation attempting study of improvisations of YORGO BACANOS, initially looks into his biography. He was born in 21.09.1900 as the son of lutist Lambo Efendi. He was the younger brother of `Kemence` player Aleko BACANOS, the nephew of `Kemence` player ANAS- TAS and, Sotiri was his uncle's son. He took on his experimental musical studies at an extremely early age. He took his first lessons from his lutist father Lambo Efendi. He begun appearing on stage of `Ephtalipos Gazino` by the year of 1910. He was reknown as lutist Yorgo in the music circles. Meanwhile, one or two years he took piano lessons from The Great Sinanyan. After his years with `Ephtalipos Gazino`, he worked in `Küçük Gülistan` and various other ertertainment establishments. In 1928 he travelled to Berlin to record for gramophone together with Hafxz Kemal, Hafız Saadettin KAYNAK, Aleko BACANOS, and Ahmet YATMAN, in 1930 he travelled to Paris, Egypt and Cyprus for stage appearances and made records in company of Mermaid Ephtalia, Sadi IŞILAY, and Aleko BACANOS.
