In this era, Muslims were diveded into political groups. Moreover, in both the Christian and Islamic World there were arguments on the existence of God. Due to the differences between the God idea of Chiristians and the God idea of Muslims, and the Greek logic used by Christians in these arguments, Muslims started to make research on Greek logic and philosophy. As a result, Muslim scientist and statesmen believed in the necessity of learning these Greek logic and philosophy. Therefore in the Muslim World, the translation activities were started with the help of state and a translation department, in the name of `Beyt'ül-Hikme`, was established by the state in the seventh century.
