It can be explained as follows. Since the land of Artuqids had been habited by Sumer, Assyria, Hittite, Roman and Byzantian in the previous centuries the figured tradition my have been alrady established in the montoroned area. Also, it my have been used similiar kinds of coins in order to make easier trade between the Artuqids and Christian neighbor countries. Generally, the `Kufi` style script is used on the Artuqid coins. The subject of script cosist of the names of the ruler and the khalife with the place where coins are cointed and the coinage year.
