Abstract
This study deals with the Khâridjî scholar and historian İbn Sallâm b. Amr al-İbâdî lived in İbâdî founded Rustamid State in Nort Afrika in 3 ri centry of hicrah and his the olagical views. İbn Sallâm's book entitled `Kitâb fih Bad al-islâm wa Şharâi `al-Din` which is one of the earliest works written by İbâdians that arrived us, makes him important for us. His book not only covers history of early islamic age, but also give us İbadian point of view The study aims to find views of İbâdiyyah by examining its falower's work written at very age. This is important in two aspects. First, the views of İbâdiyyah can be clerified by applying an earlier study. Second, by this study, the information about İbâdiyyah in the sources of history of islamic sects can be verified. Ruming in such a context, this study consists of an introduction chapter and three major chapter. In the introduction chapter the sources of study is analysed. In the first chapter a short reviw of history and origins of sects to gether with their reasons is given and specifically the Khârijîs and their subsects are examined. In the first part of second chapter, information about İbn Sallâm's life and personality is given, where as in the second part of this chapter, to understand the environment in which İbn sâllam lived, political, economical and idealogical aspects of Rustamid State is analysed. Finally, in the third chapter while İbn Sallâm 's theological views are being studied, they are also compared whit the opinions of the othersects and that of subsects of Khârijîtes.
