Gaziantep ili Şehitkamil ilçesindeki ilkokullarda öğretmen görüşlerine göre paylaşılan liderlik ve okul iklimi

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı Gaziantep ili Şehitkamil ilçesindeki ilkokullarda öğretmen görüşlerine göre paylaşılan liderlik ve okul iklimini incelemektir. Bundan dolayı; öğretmenlerin okuldaki paylaşılan liderliğe ilişkin algı düzeyleri nedir? Öğretmenlerin, okul iklimi algı düzeyleri nedir? Paylaşılan liderlik ile okul iklimi arasında anlamlı bir ilişki var mıdır? Paylaşılan liderlik ile okul ikliminin alt boyutları arasında anlamlı bir ilişki var mıdır? sorularına yanıt aranmıştır.Araştırmanın evrenini, 2013-2014 eğitim- öğretim yılında, Gaziantep ili Şehitkamil ilçe merkezi ilkokullarında görev yapan öğretmenler oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın örneklemini, Gaziantep ili Şehitkamil ilçe merkezinde seçkisiz (Random) küme örnekleme yöntemi ile seçilen 23 ilkokulun 400 kişilik öğretmen grubu oluşturmaktadır. Elde edilen veriler SPSS 21.0 programında analiz edilmiştir. Çalışmada frekans, yüzde, aritmetik ortalama ve Pearson korelasyon analizi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın sonunda genel olarak öğretmenlerin okullarda paylaşılan liderlik ve okul iklimi algılarının `çoğunlukla katılıyorum` düzeyinde, okul ikliminin yenilikçi iklim alt boyutunda `orta düzeyde katılıyorum` olduğu, paylaşılan liderlik ile okul iklimi arasındaki korelasyonun yüksek düzeyde, pozitif ve anlamlı olduğu belirlenmiştir. Diğer yandan paylaşılan liderlik ile okul ikliminin `kendini işe verme` alt boyutu ve `ekip ruhu ve destekleyici iklim` alt boyutları arasındaki korelasyonun `orta` düzeyde olduğu belirlenmiştir. Paylaşılan liderlik ile okul ikliminin `stres`, `olumsuz iletişim ve etkileşim`, `yenilikçi iklim`, `hiyerarşik ve bürokratik iklim` alt boyutları arasındaki korelasyonların ise düşük düzeyde, pozitif ve anlamlı olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.Anahtar Kelimeler: Lider, Paylaşılan Liderlik, Örgüt İklimi, Okul İklimi.

The purpose of this study is to research distributed leadership and school climate according to teachers' views in Sehitkamil District in Gaziantep City. Therefore, it is tried to answer the following questions: What is the level of teachers' perceptions regarding distributed leadership? What is the level of teachers' perception regarding school climate? Is there any significant relationship between distributed leadership and school climate? Is there any significant relationship between distributed leadership and sub-dimensions of school climate? This research consists of the teachers working in the primary schools in Sehitkâmil which is one of central district of Gaziantep province. 400 teachers that were chosen randomly by cluster sampling method from 23 different primary schools in the central district in Sehitkamil in Gaziantep consist the sampling. The data obtained were analyzed with SPSS 21.0 program. Frequency, percentage, arithmetic mean, and Pearson correlation analysis were used in this studyAs a result of research, it was determined that the teachers' perception of distributed leadership and school climate is at the level of `I mostly agree` and the subscales of school climate is `I moderately agree`. Research findings also reveal that there is a significantly high and positive correlation between distributed leadership and school climate. The correlation between distributed leadership and subscales of school climate is generally significant and positive. At the other hand the correlation between distributed leadership and `work engagement`, `team spirit and supporting climate` which are sub-dimensions of school climate were determined at the `moderate` level. It had been achieved that the correlations between distributed leadership and school climates' `stress`, `negative communication and interaction`, `innovative climate`, `hierarchical and bureaucratic climate` sub-dimensions are at the low level and significantly positive.Key Words: Leader, Distributed Leadership, Organizational Climate, School Climate
