dc.description.abstract | ABSTRACT This study, which consists of five chapters, attempts to present communicative materials which create situations and give students opportunities to use the foBBign language in conversational English out of a textbook* îhe study emphasized the importance of real- life communication and situation to be brought or crea ted into the classroom. In the first chapter, the above-mentioned emphasise was presented. In the second chapter, the theories to teach communicative competence and its relation mthil.nguistic competence and their places in teaching foreign/second language. In the third chapter, it was dealt with the language teaching aids, especially for conversational English.
