Evolution of banking system in Turkey

Abstract

ÖZET Bu çalışma iki temel bolümden oluşmaktadır. İlk bolümde. Cumhuriyet döneminde Türkiye'de Bankacılık sisteminin evrimi ekonomik yapıda ki değişimlerle ilişkilendirilerek incelenmiştir. İkinci bölümde, TC Merkez Bankası bültenlerinde yer alan banka bilançolarının ortak bir formatta yeniden düzenlenmesi sonucunda edinilen para ve kredi verileri sunulmuştur. Bilanço kalemlerinin İngilizceye çevrilmesinde karşılaşılan güçlük bu bölümün Ek'te Türkçe verilmesine neden olmuştur.

ABSTRACT This thesis composed of two parts. In the first part, evolution of the Turkish Banking System throughout the Republican era is analysed under the light of changes in the economic structure. In the second part, the relevant data about money and credit which were compiled from the balance sheets of banks presented in the Central Bank »re Bui let insî submitted in a standart format.
