dc.description.abstract | ABSTRACT An analysis of the Turkish pronominal farms af address is presented in this dissertatian. The analysis is dans mainly at the semantic level. In Chapter I which is the Intreduotian sectien, the scope and aim af the dissertatian are explained. In Chapter SI, the origins af the pronominal forms of address, its general semantic evolution end the historical background of the Turkish pronominal forms of address are _ presented. In Chapter III, the basic dimensions of the Turkish address forms - status and sslidarity - are discussed. Also presented are the general social context and social dynamics of the Turkish address forms. In Chapter IV, the role of learning '1* and.V in an ELT class is shown.
