Piyano eğitiminde eser analizine dayalı çalışma yapmanın deşifreye akademik başarıya ve tutuma etkisi

Abstract

Bu çalışmada öğrenilmek istenen bir piyano eserini analiz edebilmek için araştırmacı tarafından bir form oluşturulmuştur. Bir piyano eserini çalışma anında veya çalmaya başlamadan önce eserin iyice analiz edilmesini sağlamak amaçlanmıştır. Çalışılan eserde sadece notalara değil eserin tüm yönlerine hâkim olabilmek ve eseri mümkün olduğunca iyi anlayabilmek amacıyla 'Piyano Dersi Eser Analiz Formu' geliştirilmiştir. Geliştirilen bu formun öğrencilerin deşifre becerilerine, piyano dersi akademik başarılarına ve piyano dersine olan tutumlarına ne gibi etkileri olduğu tespit edilmeye çalışılmıştır. Öntest-sontest kontrol gruplu desene sahip olan bu çalışmada grup içi ve gruplar arası karşılaştırmalar yoluyla değerlendirmeler yapılmıştır. Çalışmanın deney ve kontrol grupları 8 er öğrenciden oluşmaktadır. Araştırmaya katılan denekler Karadeniz Teknik Üniversitesi (şimdiki adı ile Trabzon Üniversitesi) Fatih Eğitim Fakültesi Güzel Sanatlar Eğitimi Bölümü Müzik Öğretmenliği Programı öğrencileri arasından belirlenmiştir. 2016 – 2017 bahar yarıyılında üçüncü sınıfta öğrenim gören öğrencilerden ilk belirlenen grup toplam 26 kişiden oluşmuş, not başarılarına göre beceri düzeyleri eşleşmeyen ya da çalışmada verim alınamayan öğrenciler çıkarılmıştır. Çalışma yapılan anabilim dalında yenilenen program gereğince son sınıfta piyano dersi bulunmamaktadır. Bu sebeple gruplar üçüncü sınıflardan oluşturulmuştur. Yapılan çalışmada ilk olarak tutum ölçeği tüm gruplara uygulanmış, her iki grubun ilk dönem başarı puanları elde edilmiş ve deşifre uygulaması yaptırılmıştır. Bu uygulamalardan sonra deney grubu ile deşifre yapılacak olan diğer eser ve dönem boyu çalışılacak olan piyano dersi ödevleri 'Piyano Dersi Eser Analiz Formu' ile incelenmiştir. Bu inceleme sonrasında dönem sonunda tüm ölçümler (deşifre, tutum ölçeği ve dönem sonu piyano sınavı notları) tekrarlanmış ve gruplar arası ölçümlerle karşılaştırılmıştır. Deney ve kontrol gruplarının tutum puanları, akademik başarıları ve deşifre çalma sürecinden elde edilen puanların değerlendirilmesinde, karşılaştırmalı ölçümler (Mann Whitney U testi – Wilcoxon İşaretli Sıralar testi) kullanılmıştır. Karşılaştırmalı ölçümlerde manidarlık seviyesi p<,05 olarak kabul edilmiştir. Öntest sontest karşılaştırmaları sonucunda deney grubu öğrencileri ile kontrol grubu öğrencilerinin akademik başarı ve tutumlarında belirgin bir farkın oluşmadığı görülürken, deşifre becerileri açısından anlamlı bir farkın oluştuğu tespit edilmiştir.

In this study a form was created by the researcher in order to analyse a piano work which is desired to learn. It is intended to provide a thorough analysis of the work of a piano piece at the time of the study or before playing it. In the work, `Piano Piece Analysis Form for the Piano Lessons` was developed in order to be able to master not only the notes but all aspects of the work and to understand the work as much as possible. This developed form allow to determine what effects it has on sight reading skills of students, their academic success in piano lessons and the students' attitudes about the piano lessons. In this study, which has pre-test post-test control group design, the assessments were made with between-groups and within-groups comparisons. Experimental and control groups of this study consist of 8 students. Participants of the study, were assigned from junior (3rd grade) students from the Karadeniz Technical University (by its new name Trabzon University) Fatih Faculty of Education Music Education Department. In the spring semester of 2016 - 2017, the first group students of the study was composed of a totally 26 people, however, students who have not matched skill levels or have not had any efficiency in the study, was ejected. The groups were composed of junior (3rd grade) because the piano lessons are not occurred for senior (4th grade) students due to the renewed program of the department in which the study applied. In the study firstly attitude scale was applied to all groups, achievement scores in the first period of both groups were obtained and sight reading study was made. After these applications, the other piano pieces which will be deciphered by the experimental group and the homework assignments of the piano lessons to be studied throughout the semester were examined with `Piano Piece Analysis Form for the Piano Lessons`. After this review, all measurements (sight reading, attitude scale and end-of-term piano exam grades) were repeated at the end of the period and compared with the within group measurements. Comparative measurements (Mann Whitney U test – Wilcoxon Signed Ranks test) were used in the evaluation of the scores, academic achievements and sight reading scores of the experimental and control groups. The significance level in comparative measurements is considered as p<,05. With a consequence of pre-test post-test comparisons, it is observed that there was no significant difference in the academic achievement and attitudes of the experimental group students with the control group students, but a significant difference was determined in terms of the sight reading skills.
