Ortaokul öğrencilerinin eğitim-öğretimde internetin kullanılmasına ilişkin tutumlarının incelenmesi

Abstract

Bu tez çalışmasında, ortaokul öğrencilerinin eğitim-öğretimde internetin kullanımına ilişkin tutumları incelenmiştir. Bu inceleme, internetin öğretimde kullanımı, internetin araştırmada kullanımı, internetin öğretimde kullanımından hoşlanma, internetin iletişimde kullanımı ve internetin bilgi paylaşımında kullanımı olmak üzere beş ana başlık altında yapılmıştır. Bu araştırmanın örneklemini 2014-2015 eğitim – öğretim yılında Kocaeli ili İzmit ilçesinde bulunan 12 resmi ortaokulunun 5., 6., 7. ve 8. sınıflarında okuyan 372 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada 27 maddeden oluşan `İnternet Kullanımına Yönelik Tutum Ölçeği` kullanılmıştır. Araştırmaya katılan öğrencilerden elde edilen verilerin çözümlenmesinde SPSS istatistik paket programı kullanılmıştır.Yapılan analizler sonucu `sınıf`, `cinsiyet`, `annenin eğitim durumu`, `babanın eğitim durumu`, `evde internete bağlanmak için en sık kullanılan teknolojik araç`, `internete bağlanma sıklığı` değişkenlerine göre; öğrencilerin `interneti öğretimde kullanımı`, `internetin araştırmada kullanımı`, `internetin öğretimde kullanımından hoşlanma`, `internetin iletişimde kullanımı` ve `internetin bilgi paylaşımında kullanımı` konularıyla ilgili görüşlerinde farklılıklar görülmüştür.Ayrıca öğrencilerin çoğunluğunun evde internete bağlanmak için teknolojik araca sahip oldukları, hergün internete bağlanabildikleri tespit edilmiştir. Aynı zamanda öğrencilerin öğretimde, araştırmada, iletişimde ve bilgi paylaşımında internetin kullanılması konusunda çok istekli oldukları görülmüştür.Araştırma sonucunda ortaokul öğrencilerinden, özellikle 7. ve 8. Sınıf, cinsiyet düzeyinde kız, annesi ve babası üniversite mezunu olan, evde internete bağlanmak için en sık akıllı telefon kullanan, hergün internete bağlanan öğrencilerin internetin eğitim-öğretimde kullanımıyla ilgili olumlu düşündükleri görülmüştür. In this thesis secondary school students' attidudes regarding the use of the internet in education has been examined. This investigation was conducted under five main heading; use of the internet in education, use the internet to research, like the use of the internet in education, use the internet for communication, share the information via internet.In 2014-2015 academic year the sample of this survey in İzmit, Kocaeli 12 state secondary school is formed with 372 students' in 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grade `Attitude Scale For The İnternet Usage` eas used in the research. It consists 27 items. SPSS statistical software package was used to analyze the data obtained from the students who participated in this survey.As a result of analysis , differences were observed in the students' opinion on the following issues, use of the internet in education, use of the internet to research, like the use internet in education, use the internet for communication, use the internet for sharing information according to the following variables as `class`, `gender`, `education level of mother`, `education level of father`, `the mostly used device for internet connection at home`, `frequency of internet connection `.Besides it is identified that most of the students have tecnological devices for internet conection and they can connect to the internet everday. At the same time students were found to be very willing to use the internet for education, research, communication and information sharing.As a result of research secondary school students but especially female ones in 7th and 8th grades who has university graduated parents and who use smart phones to connect the internet daily were found to think positively about the usage of internet on education.Keywords: Secondary School, student, internet, education, teaching, attitude
