Cogeneration systemsis a very important solution for this problem. In this work cogeneration systems andtheir advantages will be explained detailedly.According to a simple description cogeneration means electric and heatenergies are produced together. These systems have two different applications.First of these is cogeneration systems with gas turbine. If people needs theheat energy much than electric energy these systems are used. These work between4,5-20 MW.Second application is cogeneration systems with gas motor. These systemswork between 100 kW-3 MW and when the electric energy was needed much thanthese systems are chosen.Both of application have some different advantages. So selection of systemmust be done carefully and all of factors effected selection must be examined in detail.Cogeneration sytems are much productive than classical systems (Electricand heat energies are produced in different place in these systems).
