İsmail Güzelsoy`un romanlarında postmodernizmin yansımaları

Abstract

Son dönem Türk edebiyatının üretken yazarlarından biri olan İsmail Güzelsoy, özellikle roman türünde başarılı çalışmalar ortaya koymuştur. 2004 yılında yayımladığı ilk romandan günümüze toplamda on iki tane roman sığdırmayı başarmıştır. Romanlarında halk edebiyatının sözlü anlatım geleneğinden etkilenen Güzelsoy, çoğu zaman meddah tarzı bir anlatıma öykünür. Yazar, romanlarında sözlü edebiyat türlerinin üslûba yansıyan pek çok özelliğini kullanarak; okuru masalsı, fantastik, büyülü gerçekçi bir âleme davet eder. Romanlarında özellikle rüya metaforunu ön planda tutan yazar, okuru rüya vasıtasıyla metnin kurmaca dünyasına çeker. Gerçek olanla kurmaca olanın sınırlarını belirsizleştiren yazar, böylelikle anlatısını üstkurmaca düzlemine taşır. Eserlerinde, başka eserlere, olaylara, kişilere çeşitli göndermelerde bulunarak metinlerarası ilişki sağlar.Bu çalışmada postmodernizme genel bir çerçeve çizip İsmail Güzelsoy'un romanlarındaki postmodern anlatının özelliklerini ortaya koyduk. Meddah tarzı anlatım yönteminin üstkurmacayla harmanlandığı romanlarda, sözlü kültür geleneğinin yansımalarını göstermeye çalıştık. Romanların çözümlenmesinde başta üstkurmaca olmak üzere metinlerarasılığın parodi, pastiş, kolaj, anıştırma, epigraf, gönderme gibi ögelerine yer verdik. Tarihi, eserleri oluşturmada malzeme olarak kullanan yazar, yeni tarihselci bir yaklaşımı benimser. Postmodern unsurların yansımalarının olduğu romanları, birçok açıdan postmodern teoriye göre değerlendirmek mümkündür. Bu tezin amacı, postmodern romana genel bir çerçeve oluşturup Güzelsoy'un romanlarını bu çerçeveye göre incelemektir. Romanlardaki her ayrıntının üzerinde durulmuş ve bu ayrıntıların romana kattığı ya da romanda simgelediği anlamlar açıklanmaya çalışılmıştır.

İsmail Güzelsoy, one of the productive writers of the late period Turkish literature, has shown successful works especially in the field of novel. From the first novel published in 2004, he has managed to fit twelve novels totally to the present day. Impressed by the oral expression style of folk literature in his novels, Güzelsoy mostly emulates a storytelling narration. The author invites the reader to a fantastic, magical, realistic world by using many features of the genre of oral literature in his novels. In his novels, the author places his dream metaphor in the foreground and draws the reader through the dream into the world of fiction. By obscuring the boundaries of the real and the fictional, the author carries his narrative to the plane of the metafiction. He also provides intertextual relations by making various references to other works, events and characters in his works.In this study, we have drawn a general framework for postmodernism and revealed the characteristics of postmodern narrative in İsmail Güzelsoy's novels. In the novels in which the storytelling style narrative method is blended with the metafiction, we tried to show the reflections of the oral culture tradition such as storytelling and light comedy. In the analysis of the novels, we included elements of intertextuality such as parody, pastiche, collage, recall, epigraph, allusion and especially metafiction. The author, who uses history as a tool to create works, adopts a new historicalist approach. In many respects, it is possible to evaluate the novels with reflections of postmodern elements according to postmodern theory. The aim of this thesis is to form a framework for postmodern novel and to examine Ismail Guzeloy's novels according to this framework. Every detail in the novels is emphasized and the meaning that these details add to the novel or symbolize has been tried to be explained.
