Abstract
Çalışmamızda 2003 yılında İstanbul ili Yeldeğirmeni Çocuk ve Gençlik Merkezinde bulunan 10-18 yaşlarındaki 30 erkek sokak çocu ğunun; sokakta yaşama, uçucu madde kötüye kullanma ve fuhuşa bu laşmaları ile intihar girişimi davranışında bulunma durumları ince lenmiş. Deney grubunun %78'i; kontrol grubunun %68.8'i uçucu madde kötüye kullanmaktadır. Deney grubu %70'i ilk cinsel deneyimlerini 13 yaş ve sonrasında; kontrol grubu %85.8'i ilk cinsel deneyimlerini 14 yaş ve sonrasında yaşamıştır. Deney grubunun %71.4'ü; kontrol grubunun %37.5'i kendine fiziksel zarar vermiştir. Deney grubunun tamamı intihar girişiminde bulunmuştur; kontrol grubunun tamamı intihar girişiminde bulunmamıştır. Deney grubunun %28.6'sinin ya kınlarında intihar sonucu ölüm görülmektedir. Kontrol grubunun %68.8'inin yakınlarında intihar sonucu ölüm görülmektedir. The aim of the study was to the risk of suicide attempts in the population of inhalant abuse with risky sexual behavior street children. The experiant group compose of 14 male inhalant abuser street children age between 10-18 (mean) living in Yeldeğirmeni Child and Adolescent Center who have risky sexual behavior in their life time and have suicide attempts. Control group compose of 16 male living in Yeldeğirmeni Child and Adolescent Center who have history of inhalant abuse, or risky sexual behavior but not suicide attempts. 78 per cent of the experiant group had inhalant abuse, 68. 8 per cent of the control group had inhalant abuse. 70 per cent of experiant group had their first sexual experience after 13 years old, 85.8 per cent of the control group had their first sexual experience after 14 years old. 71.4 per cent of the experiant group had self mutilation; 37.5 per cent of the control group had self mutilation. 100 per cent of the experiant group had suicide attempts; nobody had suicide attemps in the control group. 28.6 per cent of the experiant group had suicide attempts in their family or close surroundings; 68.8 per cent of the control group had suicide attempts in their family or close surroundings. Comparing the result of the two groups revealed statistically significant differences (p>0.5) suicide attempts between the groups.
