Mesleki eğitimde öğrencilerin öğretmenlerine karşı geliştirdikleri davranış farklılıkları

Abstract

Bir ülkenin kalkınma seviyesini belirlemede kullanılan en önemli ölçütlerden biri, o ülkenin sahip olduğu insan kaynaklarının niteliğidir. Toplumsal kalkınmayı gerçekleştirebilecek nitelikli insan gücünün yetiştirilmesi büyük oranda eğitim sisteminin görevidir. Eğitim sistemi, bu görevini yerine getirirken öğrencileri toplum yaşamına, meslekler dünyasına ya da ileri eğitime hazırlar. Bu süreçte en büyük görev öğretmenlere düşmektedir. Öğretmenler bu sorumluluklarını yerine getirirken birçok etkenden etkilenirler. Öğretmenlerin görev yaptığı okulun niteliği, kurumun mesleğe verdiği önem, iş doyumları, aile yaşamı, sağlık durumları, okulun diğer öğretmenleri ile olan ilişkileri bu etkenlerden bazılarıdır. Özellikle kültür dersi ve meslek dersi öğretmenleri olarak ayrıştırmanın olduğu okullarda, öğretmenlerin görevlerini yerine getirmelerine engel olan olumsuz etmenlerin ortadan kaldırılması gerekmektedir. Bu gerekliliğe dayanılarak girişilen bu çalışmada, Anadolu sağlık meslek liselerinde öğrencilerin kültür dersi ve meslek dersi öğretmenlerine karşı geliştirdikleri davranış farklılıklarının nedenlerinin bulunması amaçlanmıştır.Bu araştırmanın evrenini 2013-2014 eğitim öğretim yılında, İstanbul ilinde bulunan, Bakırköy, Kadıköy, Üsküdar, Bağcılar ve Şişli İlçelerindeki 6 resmi, 1 özel Anadolu sağlık meslek lisesindeki öğrenciler oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın örneklem grubunu ise bu okullardan araştırmaya gönüllü olarak katılan 544 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada öğrencilerin öğretmenlerine karşı oluşturdukları davranış farklılıklarını belirlemek üzere, Gül (2008)' ün geliştirdiği anket soruları araştırmacının izni ile bu çalışmada kullanılmıştır. Bu anket `Kişisel Bilgiler` ve `Öğrenci Davranışlarını Etkileyen Öğretmen Davranışları` olmak üzere iki bölümden oluşmaktadır. İstatistiksel analizler için NCSS (Number Cruncher Statistical System) 2007&PASS (Power Analysis and Sample Size) 2008 Statistical Software (Utah, USA) programı kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen bulgular doğrultusunda Anadolu sağlık meslek liselerinde öğrenim gören öğrencilerin, kültür dersleri ve meslek dersleri öğretmenlerine karşı oluşturdukları davranış farklılıklarının nedenleri bulunmaya çalışılmıştır. Ulaşılan bulgular sonuç ve öneriler kısmında verilmiştir.Araştırma sonucunda, meslek dersi öğretmenlerinin, öğrencileri tanımaya, onların sorunlarını dinlemeye ve beceriye yönelik eğitimlere, uygulamaya daha fazla önem vermesi gerekliliği tespit edilmiştir. Sınıflarda katı bir disiplin yerine sevgi ve hoşgörünün daha fazla işe yarayacağı anlaşılmıştır. Kültür dersi öğretmenleri, öğrencilerin yükseköğrenim konusunda beklentilerini karşılaması ve sınıflarda bireysel farklılıklara göre öğretimi düzenlemesi gerektiği görülmüştür.Anahtar Kelimeler: Anadolu Sağlık Meslek Lisesi, meslek dersi öğretmeni, kültür dersi öğretmeni, davranış

One of the most important criteria used to determine the level of development of a country is the quality of human resources of this country. The training of qualified manpower to perform social development is mainly the task of the education system. While performing this task, education system prepares the students for social life and professions or further education. The biggest task in this process belongs to teachers. While fulfilling these responsibilities, teachers are influenced by many factors. The quality of the schools, the significance given from the organisation to the profession, job satisfaction, family life, health, and relationships with the other teachers in the school are some of these factors. Especially in the schools, where the teachers are distinguished as of cultural and vocational courses, the negative factors should be eliminated, that prevent them from fulfilling their duties. The purpose of this study, which was undertaken based on this requirement, is to find out the reasons of the behavioral differences of students developed against teachers of cultural and vocational courses in Anadolu vocational high schools of health.The universe of this research is the students of 6 private and 1 public Anadolu Vocational High Schools of Health in Bakırköy, Kadıköy, Üsküdar, Bağcılar and Şişli in 2013-2014 education year. The sample group is 544 students, who participated voluntarily in the study. To determine students behavioral differences developed against their teachers, the questionnaire of Gül (2008) was used with her permission. This questionnaire has two parts; personal information and the behaviors of the teachers that affects the behaviors of the students. NCSS (Number Cruncher Statistical System) 2007 & PASS (Power Analysis and Sample Size) 2008 Statistical Software (Utah, USA) software was used for the statistical analysis. It was tried with the outputs to find out the behavioral differences of the students to the teachers of cultural and vocational courses in Anadolu Vocational High Schools of Health. The results can be found in the conclusions and recommendations section.In this study, it was found out, that the teachers of vocational courses should give more emphasis to get to know the students, to listen to their problems and to give more importance to the training skills and practices. Love and tolerance instead of a strict discipline in the classroom serve more to the purpose. The teachers of cultural courses should meet the expectations of students about their academic studies and teach by considering the personal differences in the classroom.Key Words: Anadolu Vocational High School of Health, vocational course teacher, cultural course teacher, behavior.
