Özel yetenekli öğrencilerin `Mutluluk` kavramına ilişkin metaforik algılarının incelenmesi

Abstract

Bu araştırmanın amacı özel yetenekli öğrencilerin mutluluk kavramına ilişkin metaforik algılarının incelenmesidir. Bu araştırmanın örneklemi, Özel Yetenekli olarak tanılanmış 6, 7 ve 8. Sınıfa devam eden 157 öğrencilerden oluşmaktadır. Verilerin elde edilmesinde, Metaforik Algı Formu ve Kelime İlişkilendirme kullanılmıştır. Verilerin incelenmesinde Kesme Noktası tekniği ile birlikte nitel ve nicel araştırma yöntemleri kullanılmıştır. Araştırma bulgularına göre, Özel Yeteneklilerin mutluluk kavramına ilişkin metaforik algılarının sınıf seviyesi ve aile gelir düzeyi arasında düşük düzeyde anlamlı bir ilişki bulunmuştur. Özel yetenekli öğrencilerin Kelime İlişkilendirme Testinde sayıca en fazla yazdıkları kelime sırasıyla; aile (27), tatil (21), yemek (21), ders (19), çikolata (18) olarak belirlenmiştir. En fazla kelime yazdıkları anahtar kavram ise `eğlence/hobi` olarak tespit edilmiştir. Özel Yeteneklilerin en fazla metafor ürettikleri kategoriler sırasıyla; fayda sağlayan olarak mutluluk (21), durağan olmayan bir duygu olarak mutluluk (10), bir macera olarak mutluluk (10), çok erken tüketilen olarak mutluluk (8)… belirlenmiş olup araştırmanın bulguları literatür taraması çerçevesinde tartışılmıştır. The purpose of this study is to examine the talented children's metaphoric perceptions related to the concept of happiness. This study's samples consist of 157 gifted students of 6th, 7th and 8th grade. In obtaining the data, the Metaphoric Perception Form and Word Association were used. According to the research findings, the low level of correlation between the class level and the family income level of Metaphorical perceptions of Talented Children related to the concept of happiness was founded.The Word Association Test of these gifted children illustrated that the most frequently written words were respectively determined as; family (27), holiday (21), meal (21), lesson (19),and chocolate (18). The key word that was used the most was `entertainment/hobby`. The categories in which the talented children produced the most metaphors were respectively; happiness as a gain (21), happiness as a floating feeling (10), happiness as an adventure, happiness as consumed too early (8), …, the findings of the research have been discussed within the scope of the literature review.Keywords: Talented, Talented Student, Happiness, Metaphor, Happiness Metaphor
