Abstract

STORYBOARD ÇİZİMLERİNİN FİLM YAPIM SÜRECİNE KATKISI, GÖRSEL ALGI Bir filmi oluşturan sahnelerin, çekimden önce belli ölçülerdeki karelere çizilmesi ile oluşturulan storyboard'un film yapım sürecindeki anlatım dili ve teknikleri, her storyboard çizerinin bilmesi gereken özelliklerdir. Storyboard'da asıl önemli olan vurgulanması gereken olaylar örgüsünün, izleyici algısını da dikkate alarak derinlemesine bir araştırma ile, doğru tekniklerle çizimlerinin yapılmasıdır. Storyboard; film yapım sürecinde, bir hayâlden ya da gerçekten yola çıkarak oluşturulan senaryoyu canlandırma tekniklerinin en eskisi olan çizimlerden başlayarak dijital animasyon tekniklerine kadar, hikâyeyi izleyenlere aktarmanın başlangıcı olan çalışmadır. Gerek yapımcı firma, gerekse bu süreçte yer alan teknik ve sanatsal ekip için, zaman kaybının önüne geçilmesinin yanında, tüm çalışanlara referans olması açısından da yol haritası niteliğindedir. Yeni bir gerçeklik yaratma aşamasında hikâye izleyicilere aktarılırken, içerikle görsel uyumun etkili bir algılama oluşturması, doğru noktalara odaklanan storyboard çizimleri ile olanaklıdır. Senaryonun görselleştirilmesi aşamasında film çekimine yardımcı olması hedeflenen storyboard çizimlerinde, görsel anlatım tekniklerinin tekrar irdelenmesi ve storyboard illüstrasyonları oluşturulurken, izleyicilere verilmek istenen mesajların en iyi şekilde hangi yolla verileceği ve izleyicinin görsel algısının araştırılması hedeflenmiştir. Tüm bu bilgiler ışığında usta Japon yönetmen Akira Kurosawa'nın kendi yönettiği filmlerde, yine kendisine ait storyboard çizimlerinin kullanımına yönelik örnekleri ile, storyboard çizimlerinin film yapım sürecindeki önemine dikkat çekilmektedir. Sonuç olarak; storyboard çizimlerinin önemine, film yapım sürecine katkılarına, ve storyboard sanatçısının çizimlerini gerçekleştirirken dikkate alması gereken kurallar konusuna dair bir araştırma hedeflenmektedir.Anahtar Kelimeler: Hikâye Tahtası, Film Yapımı, Görsel Algı, Kurosawa

CONTRIBUTION OF STORYBOARDING IN FILM PRODUCTION PROCESS, VISUAL PERCEPTIONA storyboard creator must have a good knowledge of the film language and techniques before creating a storyboard of the film. Most important things when you create a storyboard are; to investigate the story deeply, to use correct techniques and to know characters of movie audiences. A Storyboard during producing a film is a study which is beginning of aim to tell the story where using techniques such as drawing on the board, digital animation etc. Storyboard is a graphic presentation which helps producer, director and technical team; also it is a step to guide to everybody who is involved in the process of making film and never to be ignored. When you create a storyboard which tells the story to audiences should have correct drawing, graphics and animations shot by shot of the story. While the visualization to be assistance film making from the scenario is targeted by storyboard sketches which should have investigations thoroughly of the techniques of visual narrative. One of the goals of this research is to investigate of viewer visual perception in the light of the information obtained; the fact that Master Japanese director Akira Kurosawa used his own storyboard in his own movies that indicates how important the use of storyboard in filmmaking process is. Consequently; this research on the subject is planned and targeted to the importance of storyboarding, contributing to process of filmmaking and the rules of drawing which should be taken into account by storyboard artist when creating a storyboard for the process of moviemaking.Key Words: Storyboard, Film Production, Visual Perception, Kurosawa
