Bilgi toplumu sürecinde liseli gençlerin kişilik özellikleri ile depresyon eğilimleri arasındaki ilişkinin incelenmesi

Abstract

Depresyon toplumda en sık görülen duygu durum bozukluklarından birisi olup, özellikle lise çağındaki gençlerde daha fazla görülmektedir. Bunun yanında depresyonun kişilik özellikleri ile ilişkisi de literatürde incelenen bir konudur. Öte yandan değişen toplum yapısı ve giderek daha sanal bir yapıya dönüşen sosyalleşme durumunda, gençlerin depresyon düzeylerinin kişilik özellikleri ile ilişkisini ortaya koyan yeterli çalışma yoktur. Bu nedenle bu çalışmada, lise çağındaki gençlerin depresyon düzeyleri ile kişilik özellikleri arasındaki ilişkinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır.İstanbul ilinin Sarıyer, Bayrampaşa, Maltepe, Beylikdüzü, Kadıköy, Fatih ve Beşiktaş ilçelerinde eğitim gören 195 gönüllü öğrenci bu araştırmaya katılmıştır. Katılımcılara Beş Faktör Kişilik Envanteri, Çocuklar İçin Depresyon Ölçeği ve kişisel bilgi formu içeren anket uygulanmıştır.Çalışma sonuçlarına göre özdenetim (p<0,05) ve gelişime açıklık (p<0,01) kişilik boyutları ile depresyon arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı negatif korelasyon saptanmıştır. Duygusal tutarsızlık boyutu ile depresyon arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı ve pozitif yönde bir ilişki saptanmıştır (p<0,001).Anahtar Kelimeler: Depresyon; Beş Faktör Kişilik Envanteri; Bilgi Toplumu.

Depression is one of the most common psychological problems and more seen at individuals in high school age. In addition, the relationship between depression and personality properties is a topic focused in literature. On the other hand, there has not been enough research focusing on the relationship between depression and personality properties at information society era when social structure is changing and sociality becomes more fiction. For this reason, it is aimed to examine relationship between depression and personality properties of high school students.In the research, total (n=195) students from Sarıyer, Bayrampaşa, Maltepe, Beylikdüzü, Kadıköy, Fatih and Beşiktaş provinces of Istanbul were voluntarily subjected to the research. A survey form including Depression Scale for Children, Five Factor Personality Scale and Information form was applied to students.According to results of the study, there were statistically significant and negative correlation between depression and self check (p<0,05) and openness to development (p<0,01). There was statistically significant and positive correlation found between depression and emotional contradiction (p<0,001). It may be argued that information society younger more extroversion and openness to development.Key Words: Depression; Five Factor Personality Scale; Information Society.
