İstanbul`un göstergebilimsel açıdan incelenmesi

Abstract

İstanbul kültürel, tarihsel ,siyasal , sanatsal,dinsel ve mimarisel açıdan birikimli, çeşitlilik gösteren olgu ve olaylar dizgesine sahiptir.Bu çalışmanın seçki alanı insanların aklında kalan İstanbul imgesinin `istanbul'u İstanbul yapan` söylem adı altında yapısından ve kimliğinden yola çıkarak göstergebilimsel açıdan incelenmesidir. `İstanbul'u İstanbul yapan` tanımın göstergebilimsel grafiği bir bütündür ve araştırma yapı, kimlik ,anlam sorgusu aralığında yazarın seçtiği referans noktaları üzerinden göstergebilimin olanakları kullanılarak çözülmeye çalışılacaktır.İstanbul kültürler arası bir geçiş yeridir ve her geçen kültür bu geçiş bölgesine kendinden bir parça bırakmıştır. İstanbul'un geçiş yeri olmasından kaynaklanan , İstanbul'da bugünde varlığını sürdüren yapılar ve yaşam biçimleri,İstanbul'u sahiplenmiş ve kendi kültürlerinin bir parçası haline getirmişlerdir. İstanbul'u göstergebilim açısından incelerken istanbul'un geçmişini ve bu gününü üzerinde etkili olduğu semboller görüntülerken ,şehrin gelişiminin de tarihi izleri belli kesitlerde bozmamaya çalıştığına tanık olmak mümkündür. Geçmişinden bu yana geçirdiği her dönemde farkı kimliklere sahip olmuş ve son dönemlerinde de bir çok değişim geçirerek bu günlere kadar gelmiştir.İstanbul her döneminde önemli,işlevsel,hayran kalınan, yaşanılmak istenen, defalarca kuşatılan, üstüne şarkılar,şiirler,romanlar yazılıp sayısız betimlemeye tabi tutulan,sayısız karede görüntülenip gösterilen ulusal ve uluslararası platformda sıklıkla yazılıp çizilen bir şehirdir. Hep çok istenen olma özeline sahip olan şehir bu sayısız izlenmeleri üst düzeyde yaşamıştır. İstanbul has a cumulative system of phenomena and cases that show variety in terms of culture, history, politics, art, religion and architecture. The field of study here is to examine the image of Istanbul, which is on the minds of people in terms of semiotics, starting from the point of its structure and identity and under the discourse of `the things that give Istanbul its true nature`. The semiological graphics of the definition of `the things that give Istanbul its true nature` is a whole; and by using the principles of semiotics, the study will analyze the reference points selected by the author, its structure, identity and meaning.Istanbul is located on the crossroads of various civilizations. Each culture has left a part of it in this transit area. The structures and lifestyles that stem from İstanbul's being a transit area and that still survive today have embraced İstanbul and made it a part of themselves. When examining İstanbul in terms of semiotics, and when observing the past of this city and its symbols, it is possible to experience that the city tries to preserve its history in certain sections. The city has had various identities in the past in every different era, and has evolved to its present state. Istanbul is a city that has been important and functional in every periods of time in history. Everyone who saw or heard about it admired this city, and wanted to live in it. It was surrounded many times in history, many songs have been composed for it, and many novels were written. It was depicted and monitored numerous times in history in national and international platforms. The city, which has the characteristics of being always the most wanted, has seen these numerous experiences at the utmost level. `Being observed` is like the evidence of Istanbul not being an `ordinary city`.
