Abstract
The21stcentury,whichis described as the information age, is experiencing streaming change and development. Also globalization and competetion are at extreme levels. The rapid rise of globalization has changed the economic balances in the world and has led the production based strong national economies turn into innovation economies based on research and development. As the innovation based competetion has become more important, it also has made the education of skilled manpower, which is a suppliying factor of innovation, more important. The aims of this study areto determine what teachers and students, who are two important bases of education, know about innovation term,to determine the activites that are named as innovation, to investigate how schools share innovation. Within the study, a qualitative research is performed through interviews with teachers and students. This study has revealed that neither taeachers nor student know innovation exactly.
