Özgeciliğin yordayıcısı olarak affedicilik ve dini tutumlar

Abstract

Bu araştırmanın amacı yetişkin bireylerin dini tutum, affedicilik ve özgecilik düzeyleri arasındaki ilişkiyi tespit etmektir. Dini tutum ve affedicilik düzeylerinin özgecilik düzeyleri üzerindeki yordayıcı gücünün incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Ayrıca dini tutum, affedicilik ve özgecilik düzeylerinin bazı demografik değişkenlere göre farklılaşıp farklılaşmadığını saptamak bu araştırmanın amaçları arasındadır. Bu çalışma ilişkisel tarama modelinde betimsel bir araştırma olup çalışma grubu Orta Karadeniz Bölgesi'nde bir ilde yaşayan 17-80 yaş aralığındaki 430 kadın (%38,5), 270 erkekten (%61,5) olmak üzere uygun örnekleme yöntemiyle seçilen toplam 700 kişiden oluşmaktadır. Verilerin toplanmasında Özgecilik Ölçeği, Dini Tutum Ölçeği ve Affedicilik Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Çalışma grubundan toplanan veriler araştırma problemlerine yanıt bulmak için t- test, ANOVA testi ve Çoklu Doğrusal Regresyon analizi kullanılarak SPSS 21 programı yardımı ile analiz edilmiştir. Yapılan analizler sonucunda ortaya çıkan bulgulara göre bireylerin dini tutumları ile özgecilik düzeyleri arasında pozitif yönde anlamlı bir ilişki gözlenmiştir (r= .22, p<.01). Ayrıca bireylerin affedicilik düzeyleri ile özgecilik düzeyleri arasında pozitif yönde anlamlı bir ilişki bulunmuştur (r=.17, p<.01). Yapılan regresyon analizine göre dini tutum ve affediciliğin özgecilik düzeyinin anlamlı yordayıcısı olduğu bulgusuna ulaşılmıştır (F(2, 670) = 23.90 p< .01). Özgecilik düzeyi cinsiyete, yaşa, medeni duruma, eğitim durumuna göre anlamlı bir farklılık göstermemektedir. Ancak gelir seviyesine göre özgecilik farklılaşmaktadır.Sonuçlar literatür ışığında tartışılmış ve çeşitli önerilerde bulunulmuştur.Anahtar Kelimeler: Dini tutum, Affedicilik, Özgecilik

The present study aims to investigate the correlation between religious attitudes, forgiveness, and altruism levels of adults. İt also explores the predictive role of religious attitude, and forgiveness on altruism. In addition, it aims to investigate if there is any statistically significant differences in altruism level, religious attitudes, and forgiveness by age, gender, marital status, educational status, and economical situation.The current research was conducted as a correlational study. There were 430 women and 270 men (total 700 people) aged 17 – 80 in this study sampled from a city in the Central Black Sea Region. Altruism Scale, OK – Religious Attitude Scale, Forgiveness Scale, and Personal Information Forms were used to collect data in this research. In order to find the answer of the research problems, the data which were collected from the study group was analyzed, with the help of SPSS 21. İndependent Samples t Test, One-Way ANOVA, Pearson Correlation, and Multiple Linear Regression analysis were used. According to the findings of the result of the analysis, a statistically significant positive correlation between altruism level and religious attitudes was observed. (r= .22, p<.01). Besides, a statistically significant positive correlation between altruism level and forgiveness was observed (r=.17, p<.01). According to the regression analysis, religious attitudes and forgiveness were found as significant predictors of altruism level (F(2, 670) = 23.90 p< .01). Altruism level does not differ significantly according to gender, age, marital status, and education. However, it differs by income level. The study results were discussed and several suggestions were made.Key Words: Religious Attitude, Forgiveness, Altruism
