Abstract
Theoretical and practical significance of the work lies in the fact that it may be useful for students-philologists both in Russian Language and Literature Department as well as in Turkish Language Department; it may have practical significance for writers and translators; the thesis can be used as a methodological textbook for conducting business documents. The work consists of Introduction, three chapters, Conclusion, Bibliography and Appendix. In the Introduction part the relevance of the chosen topic is substantiated, the objectives and tasks of the study are formulated, the object and methodology of the study is indicated, the theoretical and practical importance of the work is determined. The first chapter is dedicated to various theoretical aspects of the studied problem. The meanings of main terms, which are being actively used in the work, are given here; the key problems of the studied topic are detected. The second chapter is dedicated to the problem in translation of the artistic texts from Russian to Turkish. Here the example of the short story ?The Lady with the Dog? examines the various translations of the Chekhov's famous work. This chapter also provides basic realities of Turkish life that make up the so-called background vocabulary. The third chapter is devoted to identifying special characteristics in translation of official and business documents from Russian to Turkish. Here are the most popular translations of official and business documents from Russian to Turkish.
