Ceviz yapraklarından mevsimsel olarak elde edilen özütlerin tohum çimlenmesine etkileri

Abstract

Bu çalısmada, juglon ile ceviz (Juglans Regia L. cv Sebin) yapraklarından mevsimselolarak elde edilen özütlerin domates (Lycopersicon esculentum L. cv SC 2121), tere (Lepidiumsativum L. cv Bahar), yonca (Medicago sativa L. cv Kayseri), turp (Raphanus sativus L. cvRadish) ve hıyar (Cucumis Sativus L. cv Castle F 1 ) bitkilerinde tohum çimlenmesi ve fidebüyümesi üzerine etkileri arastırılmıstır. Özütler blendorda homojenizasyondan sonra filtrasyonve santrifüjleme ile elde edilmistir. Tohumların çimlendirilmesi ve fide büyümesi Petrikutularında ve etüvde 25 0C' de bes gün tutularak gerçeklestirilmistir. Sonuç olarak, hıyar hariçdiger türlerin tamamı juglon ve özütler tarafından hem çimlenmeleri hem de fide büyümeleriengellenmistir. Hıyarda ise çimlenme engellenmezken fide büyümesi engellenmistir. Genelolarak en olumsuz etki Mayıs ayında elde edilen özütlerde belirlenmistir. Diger ayların etkileride bitki türlerine göre degismektedir.Anahtar Kelimeler : Ceviz yaprak özütleri, çimlenme, juglon.

In this study, the effects of juglone and leaf extracts of walnut (Juglans regia L. cvSebin) on seed germination and seedling growth in tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum L. cv SC2121), garden cress (Lepidium sativum L. cv Bahar), alfalfa (Medicago sativa L. cv Kayseri),radish (Raphanus sativus L. cv Radish) and cucumber (Cucummis sativus L. cv Castle F 1) wereinvestigated. The extracts were obtained by centrifugation and filtration after homogenization ina blendor. Seed germination and seedling growth were carried out in Petri dishes by incubatingin an incubator for five days at 25 0C. As a result, seed germination and seedling growth of thespecies were inhibited by both juglone and walnut leaf extracts, except cucumber. In the case ofcucumber, its seed germination was not affected significantly but seedling growth wasdecreased by the treatments. The effects of walnut leaf extracts depend on seasonal changeswere found that generally the most effective one was May extract. The effects of other extractsobtained in different months were found to change depend on plant species.Key Words : Walnut leaf extracts, germination, juglone.
