Abstract

Kazıma işlemi, insanlık tarihinin ilk dönemlerinden bu yana, hayatta kalma gereksinimi ile paralel bir ilişki ile varlığını göstermiş ve bireyin kendini ifade etme ihtiyacından ortaya çıkmıştır.Tarihsel olarak incelendiğinde kuyumcu ustalığından sanata geçiş sürecinde baskı-resim sanatının sırasıyla büyük yaratıcıları; The Master of Playing Cards, The Master E.S., Schongauer, Dürer, Rubens Okulu, L. Vosterman, Bolswert Kardeşler, Rembrandt, Hogarth, J. B. Le Prince ve Goya gibi hem zanaatçı hem de sanatçı mertebesine yükselmiş olan ustaların sanat tarihinde bilhassa Intaglio Baskı Teknikleri'nde önemli katkılar sağlayarak bir kırılma noktası oluşturmuşlardır. Gravür Sanatının en temel karakteristik özelliği olan tasarım düzlemi üzerine kazıma işlemi; tarihsel anlamda siyasi, dini, ticari ya da eğitsel yönüyle kendini göstermiştir. Kalıp yardımı ile tasarımların çoğaltılabilmesine imkân sağlayan gravür sanatı, matbaanın ortaya çıkışında ana etken olarak görülmektedir. Sonuç olarak baskı teknikleri ve deneysel metotlar üzerine uygulama, değerlendirme ve incelemeler ortaya koymaya çalışan bu tez, Intaglio'nun temelini oluşturan Çelik Uç Kazı, Asit İndirme, Kuru Kazı, Tozlama ve Mezzotint tekniklerinin modern sanatsal ifadenin yetkinliğinde teknolojik gelişimlerle paralellikler taşıdığını vurgulamaya çalışmaktadır.

Vosterman, The Bolswert Brothers, Rembrandt, Hogarth, J. B. Le Prince, and Goya are masters of both providing significant contributions in the formation of a breakpoint. Engraving on the design plane, which is the main characteristic of the art of engraving; historically, political, religious, commercial or educational aspect has shown itself. Engraving, which enables the designs to be reproduced with the help of plate, is seen as the main factor in the emergence of the printing press.Consequence, this thesis, which tries to put forward applications, evaluations, and investigations on printing techniques and experimental methods, emphasizes that form the basis of Intaglio techniques of Engraving, Etching, Dry Point, Aquatint, and Mezzotint as a modern artistic expression.
