Abstract
Amino-imino tautomeric equilibrium of amino-1, 3- oxazole (2- amino-1, 3 -oxazole, 4- amino-1, 3- oxazole, 5- amino-1, 3- oxazole) and its some were theoretically investigated by using B3LYP/ 6-31+ + G (d, p) method derivatives in the gas, chloroform, dimethylsulfoxide and water phases. The Self-Consistent Isodensity Polarizable Continuum Model (SCIPCM) was considered for the calculations associated with solvent phases. The same level of calculations were applied to the effect of substituent types and its positions in the tautomeric equilibrium. The structures, energies and the relative stabilities of the tautomers were comparatively evaluated for both gas and solvent phases. The results showed that the amino tautomers were more stable than the imino tautomers except 2, 4-diamin-1, 3-oxazol for which the case was vice-versa. However, the tautomeric equilibrium was relatively in favor of the imino tautomers with the increasing polarity of the solvents.
