Abstract
The aim of this study is to investigate the effects of basic motoric properties on tennis skills training between 10-12 aged boys group and comparing the correlations among values. The study was conducted on 50 boys whose age between 10 – 12, has not done exercise before and who lives in Ankara. The relationship between the participants' tennis skills and their basic motor characteristics was examined. To determine the basic motoric characteristics after pre-testing to 50 children who participated voluntarily at study were given 30-meter sprint test, Rockport 1 mile test, Wall Catch coordination test, Illinois test, and Sit-Outelasticity.Then was applied AOS Test to determine tennis skills. After taking first test, Basic tennis training was given to the participants which had been applied 2 days in a week for 3 months. The training content was planned as forehand, backhand, service, vole strokes and reciprocal rally exercises. Data were obtained on the subjects a day later from the 3-monthly period. In the statistic analysis of the data, Pearson Product Moment Correlation Test was used in SPSS (Version 24) package program. The error level for all statistical methods was accepted as 0.05. Values under p <0.05 were considered significant.Data were obtained on the subjects a day later from the 3-monthly period. A statistically significant difference was found between the 30-meter sprint test, Rockport 1 mile test, Wall Catch coordination test, Illinois test, and Sit-Outelasticity test and aos pre-test (P <0.05). A statistically significant difference was found between the 30-meter sprint test, Rockport 1-mile test, Wall Catch coordination test, Illinois test and Sit-Outelasticity test, and aos final test (P <0.05). As a result; In this study, it was determined that tennis sport is a multifactorial sports branch and basic motoric features such as speed, agility, coordination, strength, endurance and flexibility are directly related to tennis skill. The aim of this study is to investigate the effects of basic motoric properties on tennis skills training between 10-12 aged boys group and comparing the correlations among values.
