Günümüzde tasarım oyuncak kavramı ve gelişimi

Abstract

Tasarım oyuncaklar, günümüzde dünya çapında belirli bir yere sahip olan ve kullanıcıları ile sürekli etkileşim içinde bulunan bir alan haline gelmiştir. Bu araştırma kapsamında sınırlı sayıda ve el yapım teknikleriyle üretilen tasarım oyuncakların ortaya çıkışı, tarihçesi ve gelişimi incelenmiştir. Dünya üzerinde markalaşmış hale gelen tasarım oyuncak firmalardan örnekler verilmiş ve Türkiye'de tasarım oyuncak kültürünün günümüzdeki durumu ele alınmıştır. Tasarım oyuncakların el yapımı olmasının, sınırlı sayıda üretilmesinin ve bu özelliklerin kullanıcı ile olan ilişkisinin temellerinin Arts and Craft dönemine kadar uzanmakta olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Araştırma dahilinde ele alınan kişiye özel tasarım olgusu, gündelik hayatın oyunlaştırılması ile bağdaştırılmış ve kullanıcıların ürünle olan empati ilişkisi sorgulanmıştır. Oyun kavramının insanları gündelik hayatın karmaşasından uzaklaştırması sonucu, oyun olgusundan yola çıkılarak üretilen ürünler, örneklerle incelenmiştir. Oyun kavramının tasarım ürünlerinde kullanılmasının yanı sıra, sanat ürünlerinde oyuncak kavramı araştırılmış ve bu alanda tüm dünyada bilinirliği olan sanatçılardan örnekler verilmiştir. Tasarım oyuncaklar, yetişkinler için üretilen ve koleksiyon haline getirilen bir alandır. Tasarım oyuncaklar, oyun oynamak için değil sergilenmek için tasarlanmıştır. Koleksiyonerler, internet üzerinden takip ettikleri yeni oyuncakları satın almakta ve biriktirmektedir.Araştırmada, tasarım oyuncakların üretim teknikleri, yapımında kullanılan materyaller detaylandırılmış ve tüm tekniklerin avantajları ve dezavantajları irdelenmiştir. Aynı zamanda araştırmacı, yeni bir baskı tekniği olan 3 boyutlu baskı tekniği uygulayarak bir tasarım oyuncak tasarlamış ve araştırmayı üretim aşamalarıyla desteklemiştir. Kullanıcıların kendi yaratıcılıklarını ve tasarımlarını sergilediği DIY- Do It Yourself (Kendin Yap) kültürü, tasarım oyuncaklar için önemli bir alan olarak görülmektedir. Tasarım oyuncak sanatçılarının boş bir platform olarak tasarladıkları ve `boş tuval` olarak görünen oyuncak formları, kullanıcıların kendi zevkleri dahilinde tasarım yapabildikleri bir mecra haline gelmiştir.Key Words : Tasarım oyuncak, DIY, vinil, oyuncak, koleksiyon

Design toys have been a field that has a certain point worldwide and continuously in an interaction with its users. Design toys have been produced for adults and is a field which has been a collection. Design toys have been designed in order to be displayed but not be played. Within the scope of this research, the occurrence of the design toys which are at the limited time and which are produced with handcraft techniques, their history and development have been examined. The examples are given among the design toy companies that have been brand worldwide and the current situation of the design toys culture in Turkey have been tackled. It has been identified that the design toys are craftworks and they are produced at the limited availability and the relationship of its features with the user dates back to Arts and Craft period. Special design fact which is tackled within the scope of study, has been associated with the dramatizing of the daily life and the empathy relationship of the users with the product have been questioned. As a result of the fact that the toy concept move away the people from the chaos of daily life, the products which are produced with the concept of game have been examined with examples. As well as using the toy concept in the design products, the toy concept has been researched in the works of art, and examples were given among the artists who are worldwide famous artists. The production techniques of the design toys, the material that are used in its production were detailed in the study and the advantages and disadvantages of all the techniques have been scrutinized. At the same time, the researcher designed a design toy by implementing 3-d printing technique which is a new printing technique, and supported the study with the production stages. The culture of DIY - do it yourself in which the users display their own creativity and designs is regarded to be an important field for the design toys. Toy forms which are seen as `blank toile` that were designed by the artists of design toys as an empty platform, have been a medium at which the users are able to design on their own pleasure.Key Words : Designer toy, DIY, vinyl, toy, collection
