Ankara Devlet Resim ve Heykel Müzesi koleksiyonunda bulunan bir grup yağlı boya tuval resminin korunmasına yönelik araştırma ve uygulama çalışmaları

Abstract

Araştırma konusu olarak Ankara Devlet Resim ve Heykel Müzesi deposunda bulunan, korunma durumu kötü olarak belirlenen Türk resim sanatının 6 önemli sanatçısının 6 yağlı boya tuval resmi ele alınmıştır. Cumhuriyet'in ilk dönemlerinde yaşamış olan söz konusu sanatçıların eserleri XX. yüzyılın ilk yarısında yapılmıştır.Yapılan onarım çalışmalarının ilk aşamasını oluşturan belgeleme, bozulmaların tespiti açısından oldukça önemlidir. Görsel incelemeler, eserlerin daha önce onarım geçirip geçirmediği, sanatçıların tekniği, eserin bozulmaları hakkında ayrıntılı bilgi elde etmemizi sağlamaktadır. Oluşturulan belgeleme formları ile birlikte; şase, kanvas, hazırlık (astar), boya, vernik tabakalarının özellikleri ve tespit edilen bozulmalarla birlikte korunma durumları incelenmiştir. Bozulmaları saptanan eserlerin bir tanesi hariç daha önce onarım geçirmediği, üç tanesinin sadece şasesine müdahalede bulunulduğu görülmüştür. Kötü durumda oldukları tespit edilen alt yapı elemanlarından taşıyıcı tabaka olan kanvas, boya ve vernik tabakalarının bozulmaya en fazla uğrayan bölümler olduğu gözlemlenmiştir. Tez çalışmasının sonunda, eserlerin onarım çalışmaları tamamlanmış olup, müzenin depolama ve sergilemedeki mevcut durumları tespit edilerek ileriye yönelik uygun ortam koşulları (bağıl nem, ısı, ışık) konusunda önerilere yer verilmiştir.

As research subject, 6 oil paintings by 6 important artists of Turkish painting, which are identified as being in a poor condition, found in the storeroom of Ankara State Museum of Paintings and Sculptures is elaborated. The artworks of these artists who lived in the early Republican years were made in the first half of the XXth century. Documentation, which constitute the first stage of the restoration woks that were carried out, is rather significant with respect to the detection of the deteriorations. Visual inspections enable us to obtain knowledge about whether the artworks had gone through restoration before, the technique of the artists, and deteriorations of the artworks. With the documentation forms, the qualities of stretcher, canvas, ground, paint and varnish layers, and the detected deteriorations besides the conservation conditions were examined.It was seen that none of the artworks, except one of them, had restoration before; only the stretchers of the three paintings had been treated. Among the substructure elements which were detected as being in poor condition, it was observed that the canvas which is the carrier layer, paint and the varnish layers were the sections that were subject to deterioration the most. At the end of the thesis study, the restoration of the artworks was completed; detecting the present storing and exhibiting conditions of the museum, suggestions about the subject of appropriate environmental conditions (relative humidity, temperature, light) are included.
