dc.description.abstractABSTRACT This study aims to treat EMP (English for Military Purposes ), a considerably neglected branch of ESP, to forward the problems concerning BMP, and to propound some solutions and methods. The first chapter covers the purpose and the background of the study; the second chapter gives a short review of the literature and summarizes various methodologies; the third chapter gives a short history of ESP; introduces the general problem of ELT in Turkey; and proposes several solutions and suggests some methods to follow in an EMP course. After giving a brief analysis of student needs, the fourth chapter presents the importance of EMP teacher in detail. Chapter Five is based on the learner and the subject. It deals with vaxlables on account of the learner, administers a structured interview and a questionnaire, and suggests some textual samples.en_US
