Also memories and researches, related to this period, are used. Archival documents lighted the way for some important details. In 1950 Democratic Party came into power by making promises about democracy and economical liberalism but after 1954 they didn't keep their promises and started to become authoritarian. In the same years Turkish art of humor graphic had important changes in itself and the classical caricature style of Ottoman period started leaving its own place to `Humor with Line ` style that was supported by the new generation cartoonists. Using this style the new generation cartoonists were wrapped up in a new identity as `oppositionist` ana they started to criticize the government because of their antidemocratic manner. Of course in the same period there were also caricaturists and publishers using the classical humor style. While some of them supported the government, a member of CHP (Republician People's Party) Ratip Tahir Burak, started a war against the government. This period was ended by a coup d'etat in 1960 and the publications, which had tendency to the government, were supported but the caricaturists, who criticized the government strictly, were interrogated, taken to court and sent to prison.
