Abstract
ıı ABSTRACT Dental implants are artificial materials that are used to regain the function and esthetic loses associated with lost tooth of human, instead of the lost tooth. Since the implants are placed, the holes, each of this has standard geometry, are drilled in mandible or maxila. Therefore the tissues in these holes are taken out. When the forces acting on mandible have an intensity to cause wearing out and piling up of tissues, tissue placed around tooth rests and called periodontal membrane warns the brain by reflection to prevent these failures of these actions on mandible or maxila. These undesired situations can be occurred during excessive loadings because great amount of periodontal membrane is lost around an implant hole in the case where mandible is applied dental implant. Therefore it is very important to determine the stresses that occurs around the holes where the implant is applied. In this study, the stresses that are on the mandible where only are cylindrical implant is applied in front, especially around the hole where implant is applied, occurred during chewing- induced forces have been analyzed for three different type finite element models that are all three dimensional, and different type of implants which are used in front of the mandible by using finite element method.
