Atatürk Üniversitesi Beden Eğitimi ve Spor Yüksek Okulu basketbolcu öğrencilerinde el tercihi ve reaksiyon zamanının şut atma frekansları ile ilişkisi

Abstract

Atatürk Üniversitesi Beden Eğitimi ve Spor Yüksekokulunda öğrenci olan 36 kız ve 42 erkek denekte, el tercihi, reaksiyon zamanı ve basketbolda şut atma frekansı arasındaki ilişkiler araştırıldı. Sağlak erkeklerde el tercihi ile sol el basket sıklığı arasında negatif doğrusal bir ilişki bulundu. Yine sağlak erkeklerde sol el reaksiyon zamanı ile sol el şut atma frekansı arasında pozitif doğrusal bir ilişki saptandı. Solak erkeklerde ise sol el reaksiyon zamanı ile basket frekansı arasında negatif doğrusal bir ilişki bulundu. İncelenen diğer 12 özellikte erkek ve kız deneklerde (sağlak-solak), el tercihi ve reaksiyon zamanının şut atma frekansları (sağ el şut-sağ el isabetli şut-sol el şut-sol el isabetli şut) arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir ilişki bulunamadı. Basketbol sporu için el tercihinin ve manuel reaksiyon zamanının önemli olduğu, bu nedenle bu spor dalında başarı yönünden bu özelliklerin dikkate alınmasının gerekli olduğu sonucuna varıldı.

We have studied the relation of hand preference and reaction-time with the frequency of shooting in basketbalLWe have studied 36 female and 42 male subjects, who are students at the Collage of physical Training and Sports in Atatürk University. A negative linear relationship was found between the frequency of left-hand basket and hand preference in the right-handed subjects. In the right-handed subjects, a positive linear correlation was found between reaction time of the left hand and frequency of shooting by the same hand. As for the left-handed subjects, there was a negative linear relationship between the reaction time of the left-handed subjects and the frequency of baskets. There was no statistically significant relationship among the remaning 12 characteristics, which were the frequencies of shooting (shooting by left hand, basket by left hand, shooting by right hand, basket by right hand) in relation to hand preference and reaction time, for both males and females. It was concluded that the hand preference and reaction time would be significant parameters for basketball sport; therefore, these characteristics should be taken into consideration for the success in this branch of sport
