Abstract
Türklerin hayırseverliğe ve temizliğe verdiği önemle olusturulan su tesisleri,Türk sanatında önemli bir yere sahiptir. Hayır amaçlı yapılan çesme, sebil ve sadırvanlaryapıldıkları dönemin üsluplarını tasıyan, meydanları süsleyen, avluları mimari açıdantamamlayan, cepheleri hareketlendiren ve insanların su ihtiyacını karsılayan zarif eserleridir.Temizlik ve su içme amacıyla yapılan çesmeler Osmanlı mimarisinde suyla ilgiliyapılar içerisinde önemli bir yer tutmaktadır. ?zmir'de Osmanlı Döneminde yapılmıs, 14. ve20. yüzyıl arasına tarihlendirilen çesmeler, merkezde, Çesme'de ve Tire'de yoğunlukkazanmakta, bulundukları yere, tipolojilerine göre farklılık göstermektedir.Osmanlı su mimarisinin zarif ve sanatsal yapıları olan sebiller, Türk mimarisine özgüanıtlardır. Sebiller yollar üzerinde gelip geçenlerin parasız olarak soğuk ve iyi su içmeleri içinyapılmıs vakıf binalarıdır. ?zmir merkezde ve Bergama'da bulunan sebiller, barok üslubunözelliklerini yansıtan eserlerdir.Türk mimarisinde suya ait tesislerden biri de sadırvanlardır. Sadırvanlar, cami,medrese, han, kervansaray gibi dini ve sosyal binaların iç veya dıs avlularında yer alan, abdestalmak ve su içmek için yapılmıs su mimarisidir. ?zmir'de yer alan Osmanlı dönemisadırvanları 15. ve 20. yüzyıl arasına tarihlendirilmektedir. Mimari olarak klasik abdestsadırvanları olan ?zmir sadırvanları, merkezde ve Tire'de yoğunluk kazanmakta, genelde camisadırvanı olup bulundukları konum ve plan özelliklerine göre farklılıklar göstermektedir.?zmir çesme, sebil ve sadırvanlarında Klasik Devrin sadeliğini, Lale Devrinin, TürkBarok ve Ampirinin tezyini ve ihtisamını, bölgesel üslubun etkisini görmek mümkündür.?zmir su yapıları, mimari kurulusları, tas ve mermer isçiliği, yazı (hat) ve kalemisi bezemeleriile dönem ve bölgesel üslup özelliklerini yansıtmaktadır. Bunun yanında salt halkın sugereksinimini karsılayan sade bırakılmıs çesmeler, sade su haznesinden olusan, bezemesizsadırvanlar da bulunmaktadır. Built in accordance with the emphasis the Turks put on benevolence and cleanliness,water works have a significant place in the Turkish art. Having the aim of charity, thefountains, sebils and shadirvans are delicate works which have depicted the characteristics ofthe period when they were built, decorated the squares, completed the atriums architecturally,enlivened sides of the houses and met the water demands of people.The fountains built with the aim of cleanliness and drinking are significant among theother constructions related to water in the Ottoman architecture. The fountains built in ?zmirduring the Ottoman reign were constructed between the 14th and 20th centuries. The ?zmirfountains, which are mostly encountered in the city centre, Çesme and Tire, differ withrespect to the place they are found in and their typologies.Being the elegant and artistic works of Ottoman water architecture, sebils are constructionspeculiar to the Turkish architecture. These are the buildings of waqfs built for the aim ofproviding clean and quality water for the passerby. The sebils in ?zmir?s city centre andBergama reflect the features of Baroque style.One of the constructions related to water in the Turkish architecture is shadirvans.These are the works situated in inner and outer atriums of such religious and social buildingsas mosques, madrasahs, khans and caravanserais and built for ritual ablution and drinking.The shadirvans of the Ottoman period in ?zmir were constructed between the 15th and 20thcenturies. ?zmir shadirvans, which are classically ritual ablution shadirvans, are frequentlyseen in the city centre and Tire and differ in their location and planning features although theyare generally mosque shadirvans.It is possible to observe the plainness of the Classical Period, the ornaments andmagnificence of the Tulip Period, Turkish Baroque and Empire, and the effect of the localstyle on the fountains, sebils and shadirvans in ?zmir. The constructions related to water in?zmir reflect the features of the periodical and local styles with their architecturalconstructions, stone and marble work, and ornaments. In addition to these, there areundecorated fountains built just for the water need of people
