Abstract
Bankalar gibi hizmet sektörlerinde faaliyet gösteren insan unsuru hizmetin kalitesine ve müşteri memnuniyetine doğrudan etki etmektedir. Çalışanın verimliliğini, performansını ve işin kalitesini etkilediği için stres ve motivasyon kavramları yöneticilerin ilgilendiği konular arasında yer almaktadır. Bireyin verimliliğini ve yapılan işin kalitesini etkileyen stres hem olumlu hem de olumsuz durumlarda ortaya çıkan bir duygu ve olaylara karşı gösterilen bir tepkidir. Motivasyon da amaca ulaşmak için bireyi harekete geçiren arzu ve istektir.Çalışmada araştırma birimi olarak, Erzurum'daki banka şubeleri seçilmiştir. Çalışma 2010 yılının haziran ayında yürütülmüş ve araştırma kapsamında bu dönemde faaliyette bulunan 10 bankanın 127 çalışanına uygulanmıştır. Araştırma için gerekli veriler anket formu ile elde edilmiştir. Bu araştırmada amaç strese neden olan faktörleri ve stres yönetim tekniklerini irdelemektir. Ayrıca strese neden olan faktörlerin ve stres yönetim tekniklerinin işgören motivasyonu üzerine olan etkilerini incelemektir.Anket ile elde edilen veriler SPSS 15.0 paket programı kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. İstatistiksel analizlerde, Korelasyon analizi, Regresyon analizi, T-testi ve Anova varyans analizleri kullanılmıştır.Araştırma sonucunda iş motivasyonunun yüksek, iş stresi ve stresle mücadele tekniklerinin orta düzeyde olduğu saptanmıştır. Stresle mücadele teknikleri ile iş motivasyonu arasında anlamlı bir ilişki bulunurken, iş stresi ile iş motivasyonu arasında anlamlı bir ilişkinin olduğu saptanamamıştır.Çalışanların iş motivasyonlarının, iş stresinin ve stresle mücadele tekniklerinin kontrol değişkenlerine (demografik özellikler) bağlı olarak değişip değişmediğini belirlemek için T-testi ve Anova varyans analizleri yapılmıştır. Bulgular, motivasyon, stres ve stresle mücadele teknikleri değişkenlerinin bazı kontrol değişkenlerine bağlı olarak değiştiğini göstermektedir.Anahtar Kelimeler: Motivasyon, stres, stres yönetimi The factor of human who is employed in the service sector such as banks has a direct influence on the quality of the service and the pleasure of the clients. The concepts of stress and motivation are the issues that the directors deal with because of the fact that they affect the prolificacy, performance of the study and the quality of the work. Stress, which affects the prolificacy of the individual and the quality of the performed work, is a kind of reaction which occurs against a particular feeling or event in both positive and negative situations. Motivation is a desire and a wish which stimulates an individual in order to reach the target.In the study, as a research unit, bank departments in Erzurum are selected. The study was performed in June of 2010 and on 127 employees working in those 10 banks. Required data for the research were obtained by the questionnaire. In this research, the goal is to study carefully the effects of the factors causing stress and stress management techniques. Likewise, it is to examine the effects of the factors causing stress and stress management techniques on the motivation of the employees.The data collected by the questionnaire were analyzed by using the SPSS 15.O packet program. In the statistical analysis, correlation analysis, regression analysis, T-test and Anova variance analysis vere used.According to the result of the study, the level of the employees? work stress and the techniques for struggling with stress are medium and the level of their job motivation is high. While there is a significant effect of the techniques for struggling with stress on the work motivation, there isn?t any significant effect of the work stress on the work motivation.In order to find out whether the levels of employees? wok motivation, work stress and techniques for struggling with stress change according to the control variables (demographic characteristics), T-test and Anova variance analyses were performed. Findings show that the variables motivation, stress and the techniques for struggling with stress change according to some control variables.
