20. yüzyıl sanatında öz, töz ve model olarak kadın imgesi

Abstract

Tez çalışmasının amacı sanatta ve yaşamın her alanında edilgen bir (s)imge olmakyada olmamak üzere mücadele eden kadın figürünü görünür kılmaktır. Bundan ötürü 20.yüzyılda dünyada ve Türkiye'de yaşanan sosyal, siyasal, kültürel ve ekonomik gelişmelergöz önünde bulundurularak kadın imgesinin plastik sanatlardaki yansımalarının sanateserleri üzerinden incelenmesi tez konusunun kapsamını belirlemektedir.Bu kapsam, çalışmamızıkadını öz, töz ve model olmak üzere inceleyen üçanabaşlık etrafında şekillenmesine neden olmuştur. Ruh ve beden bütünlüğüyle kadın algısıve bilgisinin sorgulanması öz'ü; kadının, kendini kendinden başka birine anlatmagereksinimi töz'ü; kadına önemli roller biçilmesi model(ler)'igörünür kılmıştır. Sonaşamada, elde edilen veriler ışığında üretilmiş bir dizi resim ile sanatsal uygulama alanıyaratılmıştır.Bu tezde kadına yönelik algıyı belirleyen şeyin doğal ve evrensel özelliklerolmadığı, çağlar boyu değişen ve gelişen şartlara göre kadın bedenine yönelik dayatmacıbir güzellik anlayışının egemen kılındığı sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Ulaşılması beklenen birdiğer sonuçda kadına yönelik algıyı ve bu algıya yönelik bilgiyi, bilinç düzeyineyükseltmektir.

The aim of the thesis is to show the figure of woman struggling for being or notbeing a passive symbol/image in all fields of life and art. Therefore, by taking intoconsideration social, political, cultural and financial developments in Turkey and the worldin 20th century, the examination of the art pieces in terms of the reflections of womanimage on plastic arts, determines the scope of this thesis.This scope leads our study to form around three main topics that investigate thewoman as essence, substance and model.With the unity of soul and body, questioning ofwoman perception and knowledge indicates the essence. The necessity of woman to stateherself to other people indicates the substance. Attributing important roles to womanmakes the model(s) visible. At final stage, artistic application fieldis created with a seriesof pictures produced in the light of obtained informations.In this thesis, it is concluded that natural and universal characteristicsdo notdeterminewoman oriented perception,according to changing and developing conditionsduring the agesan imposing understanding of beauty for the woman body is madedominant.Another result that is expected to be reached from this thesis is to raise womanoriented perception and knowledge for that toawareness level.
