Abstract

Bu çalışmada, Haliç Zinciri konusunda tespit edilen problemler tanımlanarak, bunların giderilmesi amacıyla araştırma ve incelemeler yapılmıştır. Öncelikle; limanlarda, savaşlarda ve çeşitli yapılarda kullanılmış olan tarihî zincirler araştırılmış, Haliç Zinciri'ne ait olduğu söylenen parçalar incelenmiştir.Haliç Zinciri, uzun yıllardır tartışılan bir konu. İstanbul'un fethinde gemilerin karadan yürütülmesine doğrudan etken oluşu nedeniyle bu görüşe karşı çıkanlar tarafından bu engelleyici objenin ?alt tarafı bir zincir? olarak değerlendirilmesi, resimlerde ve diğer canlandırmalarda işlevinin yanlış anlatılmasının sonucunda, zincir bir rivayet olarak algılanmaktadır. Ayrıca zincire ait parçaların dört müzede sergilenmesinden dolayı tamamının bir arada görülememesi ve müzeler arasında yönlendirmelerin yapılmaması da bu algıyı güçlendirmektedir. Şu an müzelerde sergilenen bu zincir parçaları olmasaydı konu bir rivayet olarak görülebilirdi. Ancak, bu parçaların birbirleri ile özdeş ve limanları kapatmak için kullanılan zincirlerin özelliklerine sahip oluşları, Türk müzeciliği incelenerek değerlendirildiğinde, Haliç Zinciri'ne ait parçalar olduklarını doğrulamaktadır.Çalışmanın sonunda, araştırma sonuçları yorumlanarak, kültürel mirasın yönetimi kapsamında bir uygulama önerisi sunulmuştur.
