Abstract

Dr. Sönmez SAYILI inceleme Orta Toroslar'ın güneyinde Anamur'un kuzeydoğusunda yer alan metamorfik ve sedimanter kayaları kapsamaktadır. İnceleme alanının temelini oluşturan ve yaklaşık 650 m yapısal kalınlık sunan metamorfîtler başlıca sleyt, fillit, şist,IV Upper Paleocene-Middle Eocene aged Vinçdibi Formation that is differentiated into two members as Limestone Member and Ohstostrome Member lies above the metamorphics with an nonconformity. The Vinçdibi Formation is tectonically overlain by the Çukurçaltı Nappe that comprises of a series of lithologies deposited in Upper Devonian - Upper Cretaceous time interval. The Nappe is differantiated into following formations; Feli Formation, Narağacı Formation, Kaşyayla Formation and Yüğlük Formation. Settlement age of the Nappe to the region is later than middle Eocene. In the western parts of Alanya Metamorphics there is a greenschist facies metamorphism extending to garnet zone of Barrowan type, on the other hand, in the study area, metamorphism is in amphibolite faues and extends into the Kyanite zone of Barrowian type. Prof. Dr. Sönmez SAYILI This study covers metamorphic and sedimentary rocks of an area in the South of Central Taurides, Northwest of Anamur. Metamorphics having approximately 650 meter structural thickness forms the basement of the studied area and consist of slate, phyllite, schist, marble and quartzite.
