Abstract
ÖZET Y. Lisans Tezi FİZİK ÖĞRENCİLERİNİN, ÇEKİM, KUVVET VE HAREKET HAKKINDAKİ DÜŞÜNCELERİ VE ÖĞRETİM ELEMANLARININ ÖĞRENCİ DÜŞÜNCELERİ İLE İLGİLİ TAHMİNLERİ Ali YILDIZ Atatürk Üniversitesi Fen Bilimleri Enstitüsü İlköğretim Anabilim Dalı Danışman: Prof. Dr. Erdoğan BÜYÜKKASAP Bu çalışmada üniversite fizik ve fizik öğretmenliği programlarının I. sınıfındaki öğrencilerin, kütle-ağırlık, çekim, kuvvet ve hareket hakkındaki düşünceleri araştırılmıştır. Fizik programı I. sınıfına yeni başlayan 105, fizik öğretmenliği programı I. sınıfına yeni başlayan 44 olmak üzere toplam 149 öğrenci bu araştırmaya katılmıştır. 2003, 62 sayfa Anahtar Kelimeler: Külle-ağırlılık, kuvvet-hareket, sezgi, kavram, kavının yanılgıları ABSTRACT Master's Thesis THE IDEAS OF STUDENTS OF PHYSICS ABOUT GRAVITY, FORCE AND MOTION AND THE CONJECTURE OF THE TEACHING STAFF REGARDING STUDENTS' IDEAS Ali YILDIZ Atatürk University Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences Department of Elementary Education Supervisor : Prof. Dr. Erdoğan BÜYÜKKASAP In this study the ideas of first year students at physics and physics-teaching departments regarding mass-weight, gravity, force and motion were investigated. In addition the conjecture regarding the students' ideas on these subjects made by the teaching staff who would lecture these students was determined. A three-staged and open-ended questionnaire consisting of 9 questions that would distinguish misconceptions from inadequate knowledge, mistakes and presumptions and thus provide a valid and reliable measuring of misconceptions was applied. Totally 149 students of whom 105 were first year students at physics department and 44 were first year students at physic-teaching department were included in this research. It was found in our research that students were not adequately provided with knowledge about mass-weight, gravity, force and motion during the elementary and secondary education they received, that they had too many misconceptions, and that there were differences between the students' presumptions and the conjecture regarding the ideas of the students made by the teaching staff who would lecture them at the university. 2003, 62 pages Keywords: Mass-weight, force-motion, intuition, concept, misconception
