Dr. Adnan ORAK This research was carried out to determine some important morphological and agricultures! characters of Berseem clover ( Trifolium alexandrinum U- ) and Italian ryegrass (Lolium multiflorum Lam.) mixtures in the conditions of Thrace reigon, at the Department of Agronomy, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Thrace, in Tekirdağ in 1993. The experimental material was Castelli culturel variety of berseem clover which was originated from Greece and Multimo cultural variety of Italian ryegrass which was originated from Holland. This research was sown on 3 different sowing norms ( 2-3-4kg/da ), sowing distance ( 30-40-50cm ) and 6 different mixing rate ( WO/O, 8°/20, 60/40, 40/60, 20/80, 0/100 ). The research was laid out in a randomised block design. In this research, in the interaction of sowing norm and sowing distance, berseem clover was the highest plant with 75.24 cm. Also, in the interactions of sowing norm*sowing distance*mixture rate combinations, these are obtained; the highest Italian ryegrass was 107.27cm, the longest spike was 31.27cm; the maximum spike numbers were 24.63; maximum tiller numbers 6.57; the maximum tiller numbers in berseem clover were 14.40. In the interaction of sowing norm*sowing distance*mixture rate, the thousand seed weight of italiem ryegrass were 3.60gr and the thousand seeds weight of berseem clover were 2.52gr. The maximum herbage yield, 2289 kg/da and the maximum grain yield 107.74 kg/da were obtained from tripartite interaction of sowing norm*sowing distance*mixture rate combinations.
