Abstract
In general, the data about velocity of blood flow from peripheral and deeper vessels can be collected using pulsed ultrasonic Doppler device. This data is obtained from patient in non-invasive way.The purpose of this study is to decrease the size of portable pulsed Doppler ultrasound equipment, increasing SNR, making usage of the equipment easy and improving the diagnostic accuracy of the equipment. To this end, surface mounted devices were used instead of DIP-socketed circuit element by taking into account the improvement in the semicoductor technology. In addition, PIC micro controller was used as a PWM generator to obtain frequency that determines data receiving depth. The best evaluation of system-designed will be done by results of usage of this system by volunters and by clinics. For this reason, some experiments must be done as future work to evaluate and to optimize performance of this system, As a result these experiments; some important parameters, such as SNR, resolution and maximum blood measurement speed of the system, can be obtained.
