Fantastik sinema ve görsel efekt `Bir tahta parçası`

Abstract

Sinema gerek yaratım süreci içerisinde gerekse de ortaya çıkan ürün anlamında görsel ve işitsel araçlar aracılığıyla insan algısına çok yönlü olarak hitap eden bir sanattır. Ancak bu noktada sinemanın, aynı ya da benzer araçları kullanan sanatlardan farklı olarak, kullanılan konu ve malzemeleri gerçeklikten uzaklaştırarak algıyı manipüle eden bir yönü olduğu unutulmamalıdır. Sinema özellikle yaratım sürecinde hayal gücünün yansıtılmasının en güçlü ve etkili yollarından biri olarak nitelendirilebilir.Sinemasal türler açısından değerlendirildiğinde, fantastik sinemanın hayal gücünü yansıtma bağlamında en sınır tanımayan örnekleri barındırdığı söylenebilir.Bunun yanı sıra, sinema sanatının gelişimini diğer sanat dallarından farklı kılan en büyük özelliklerden birisi teknolojik gelişmeler ile yakından ve doğrudan bir ilişki içerisinde olmasıdır. Sinema türleri arasında da fantastik sinema türü bu teknolojik gelişmelerin etkisinin en yoğun şekilde görüldüğü türdür. Teknolojinin sinemasal açıdan kullanımının giderek artması ve özellikle görsel efekt tekniklerinin günümüzde hızla ilerleyen bir gelişim sürecinde olması, hayal gücünün hiç olmadığı kadar sınırsız bir özgürlük ve yoğunlukla perdeye yansıtılmasını sağlamaktadır.Her ne kadar görsel efekt teknolojileri ve sinema (özel bir alt tür olarak da fantastik sinema) birbirinden ayrı olarak değerlendirilebilecek olgular olsalar da, bu iki olgunun bir arada kullanılmasının hem yaratım sürecindeki kısıtları ortadan kaldırmak hem de öykü anlatımının inandırıcılığını güçlendirmek gibi önemli fonksiyonları olduğunu söyleyebiliriz.Bu noktalardan hareketle, bu çalışmanın amacı, fantastik sinema türünün derinlemesine bir incelemesini yapmak ve fantastik sinemanın yaratım sürecinde etkin bir rol oynayan görsel efekt uygulamalarının sinema üzerindeki etkilerini ortaya koymak olarak belirlenmiştir.

Cinema, both in terms of the creation progress and as final product, is a unique kind of art which calls upon human perception with both audio and visual tools. But it should be mentioned in this point that the cinema and its subjects and tools also have a manipulating effect which takes the audience away from the reality. Cinema can also be described as one of the strongest and the most influential ways of reflecting imagination.When we consider this point of view among the genres of cinema, it can be said that the fantastic cinema contains the most borderless examples of reflecting imagination.Nonetheless, one of the most important things which makes cinema different from the other kinds of art is its strong and direct involvement with the technological developments. It can easily be said that fantastic cinema is the genre, which has the most powerful effects of this relationship among all the other cinema genres. Increase in the cinematographic use of technology and especially the expedited improvements in the evolution of visual effects; let the imagination shown on the screen with an amount which has never been reached before.Eventhough the visual effect technologies and cinema (and, as its special sub genre, fantastic cinema) can be considered as two independent facts, it also can be said that, interpreting these facts together can have very useful functions both in eliminating the constraints of the process of creation and in intensifying the persuasiveness of the story telling.From all of these points, the aim of this study has determined as to examine the fantastic cinema as a genre and to exhibit the effects of visual effect implementations both in the process of creation and in the cinema as a whole.
