Abstract
ÖZET Bu araştırma kızılcam(Pinus brutia Ten.) odununun bazı borlu bileşiklerle yanma direncinin artırılması ve higroskopisite üzerine muhtemel olumsuz etkisinin azaltılması olarak bilinen çeşitli kimyasal maddelerle kombinasyonlarının yapılması amaçlarına yönelik olarak hazırlanmıştır. TUBîTAK-TOAG 875 Nolu Projenin kapsamında yürütülmüş ve tamamlanmıştır. Sonuçlar, higroskopisiteyi azaltıcı yönde uygunluk sırasının, Parafin+Borik asit+Bora:< (P+BA+ Bx), Tuzlar (borik asit, sodyum perborat)+ WRs (stiren,metilmetakri lat ve izosiyanat) ve Kontrol, Tuzlar (borik asit, sodyum perborat) Polietilen glikol-400 (P4) sırasını izlerken, yanma direnci acısından; Para-fin+ Borik asit+ Borax (P+BA+Bx), Tuzlar (borik asit, boraks), izosiyanat (ISO), Tuzlar (borik asit, sodyum perborat)+ WRs (stiren, metilmetakrilat ve izosiyanat), Polietilen glikol-400 (P4) ve Polietilen glikol- -400 (P4)+ WRs (stiren, metilmetakrilat ve izosiyanat) ve Wrs (stiren, metilmetakrilat ve izosiyanat) sırasını izlediğini göstermiştir. VI SUMMARY Brutia pi ne (Firms brutia Ten.) wood has been subjected in this project in respect to impregnation some boron preservatives individually or consecutively with various water repellents (WRs) and polyethylene glycole (PEG-400). The main aims were to increase -Fire performance of wood by treatment with boron compounds and to reduce the leachability o-F them by WRs. PEG-400 and para-F-Fin were also chosen for increasing the dimensional stabilization o-F wood. Results indicated that the possitive e-F-Fectiveness range on higroskopisity were as -Fallows; 15 V. aqueous solution of F'araffin+ Boric asit+Borax (P+BA+Bx) ; Boron salts (Boric acid and sodium perborate) + Wrs (St, MMA and ISO) and control; Boron salts (Boric acid and Sodium perborate) and PEG-400 (Polyethylene glycol-400), As for the fire performance the chemicals used in this project showed the fallowing suitibility range; Paraffin + Boric acid +Borax (P + BA +Bx) ; Boron salts (boric acid and sodium perborate) + WRs (St, MMA and ISO) ; Polyethylene glycol (PEG-400) ; Boron salts (Boric acid and Sodium Perborate) + Polyethylene glycol (PEG- 400); WRs (St, MMA and ISO) + Polyethylene glycol; WRs (St, MMA and ISO).
