Abstract
ABSTRACT In this study, the fauna of Rotifera and the dominant species belonging to Cladocera and Copepoda were determined in Akşehir, Eber and Karamuk lakes which having eutrophic characters, and Çavuşcu that is an oligotrophic lake. The keys to the species of Rotifera were given and the figures of its species were drawn. Also the species belonging to Cladocera and Copepoda were listed. In these lakes the seasonal changes of population density and biomass of Rotifera and the dominant species of Cladocera, Copepoda were also found out. There are 88 species belonging to the class Rotifera; in these lakes 22 of them are new records for Turkish Fauna. The composition of the species living in these lakes were changed according to their eutrophication level of these lakes, it is also found that the species number of Karamuk lake were higher than the others, but their seasonal abundance were lower than being in Akşehir and Eber lakes. Presence of Kellicottia longispina, Conochilus and Notholca show out that Çavuşcu lake have oligomesotrophic characters. The result of this study with the recent findings of the other researches, show that the pollution and eutrophication gradually increase in these lakes (except Çavuşcu lake). This situation effects negativelly the diversity and the composition of the species living in these lakes.
