Abstract
IV ÖZET izmit yöresinden 1994 yılında toplanan 17 bal örneğinde polen analizi, toplam polen spektrumu ve balda doğal olarak bulunan elementler (Ca, Cu, Fe, K, Mg, Mn, Na, P) ile balda doğal olarak bulunmayan ( Cr ve Zn ) elementlerin miktar tayini yapılmış ve ayanca bu bölgelerin üçünden toplanan polen örneklerinde element analizi yapılmıştır. Araştırmaya konu olan ballarda 16 familyaya ait 25 bitki cinsinin polen çeşidi saptanmış ve bu yöre ballarında Castanea, Helianthemum, Rhododendron ve Symphytum cinslerinin dominant miktarda olduğu bulunmuştur. Toplam polen spektrumu analizleri sonucunda ise 17 bal örneğinden 5'inin katkılı bal, 12' sinin ise doğal bal olduğu saptanmıştır. Çalışılan 17 bal örneğinde kimyasal analizler yapılmış ve doğal olarak bulunan Ca (1 1.6 - 86.6 ppm), Cu (1.4 - 3.8 ppm), Fe (6 - 26.8 ppm), K (40 - 200 ppm), Mg (21 - 200 ppm), Mn (1.8 - 12 ppm), Na (36 - 238 ppm), P (13.8 - 242.7 ppm), bala kontamine olan Cr (0. 1 - 8 ppm) ve Zn (1.2 - 4.6 ppm) bulunmuştur. Ayrıca 3 polen örneğinde Ca (177 - 432 ppm), Cu (3 - 10 ppm), Fe (51-116 ppm), K (2050 - 4900 ppm), Mg (400 - 1000 ppm), Mn (10 - 30 ppm), Na (120 - 230 ppm), P (1702 - 5014 ppm), Cr (eser - 10 ppm), ve Zn (4.6 - 9 ppm) saptanmıştır. ABSTRACT 17 honey samples have been collected from IZMIT region in 1994 for both pollen and element analyses - natural elements being Ca, Cu, Fe, K, Mg, Mn, Na and P and unnatural elements being Cr and Zn - and for the establishment of pollen spectra. Pollen was trapped from only 3 localities for element analysis. An analysis of pollen of the samples ultimately revealed 25 genera belonging to 16 families, the most abundant genera being Castanea, Helianthemum, Rhododendron and Symphytum. The establishment of pollen spectra shows that 5 samples represent adultrated honeys whereas 12 samples represent natural ones. All the honey samples were also analysed chemically. Natural elements found in these samples are : Ca (11.6 - 86.6 ppm), Cu (1.4 - 3.8 ppm), Fe (6 - 26.8 ppm), K (40 - 200 ppm), Mg (21 - 200 ppm), Mn (1.8 - 12 ppm), Na (36 - 238 ppm), P (13.8 - 242.7 ppm). In addition, Cr ( 0.1 - 8 ppm ) and Zn ( 1.2 - 4.6 ppm) were found to be contaminated. In the pollen samples trapped from 3 localities, the following elements were found: Ca (177 - 432 ppm), Cu (3 - 10 ppm), Fe (51 - 116 ppm), K (2050 - 4900 ppm), Mg (400 - 1000 ppm), Mn (10 - 30 ppm), Na (120 - 230 ppm), P (1702 - 5014 ppm), Cr (rare - 10 ppm), and Zn (4.6-9 ppm).
