Abstract
In recent years, different filler type composite restorative and ceramic materials have increasingly been used in clinical studies in the area of dentistry. Intra-oral tribology has a constant environment and complex structure. During the treatment process, the composite and ceramic materials used in the mouth are constantly exposed to various mechanical, thermal and corrosive loads. This environment, which is exposed to composite and ceramic materials, significantly influences the mechanical and esthetic properties of these materials. The change in the matrix structure and chemical composition of the composite material is purposed to have better mechanical properties in intra-oral tribology using tests. However, in recent years laboratory tests have gained great importance because of in vivo tests take too long time and problems. In this study, mechanical and esthetic properties of different 13 composite materials determined under aging tests (in distill water and artificial saliva), two-body wear, three-body wear and different chewing cycle tests in vitro ambient. In addition, 2 different ceramic materials were determined during two-body wear tests of chewing motion tests. Furthermore, with the data obtained within the scope of this study, it was aimed to contribute to the economy of the country by obtaining a more satisfactory treatment period and making the material selection more accurate in the field of dentistry using in vitro chewing tests
