Abstract
The purpose of this study, is to evaluate market segmentation variables for travel agencies. This purpose is originated from the managers' of travel agencies applying market segmentation activities inefficiently. In other words, the hypothesis involves that they ignore customers' attitude and selection criteria towards to firm and its products. The other hypothesis of this study is to point out the behaviour variables are much more efficient than the other three aspects of variables, which are demografic, psycographic, and geographic variables. The hypotheses which are mentioned have been anarysied through a questionnaire applied for both managers and customers. According to the results of the whole study, it has been observed that some of the managers in travel agencies have not considered the selection criteria of the customers. Consequently, the first hypothesis of the study has been supported immensely. However, for the second hypothesis of the study has not been supported because due to the analysis both behavioral and demografic variables should occur in market segmentation.
