Coğrafi bilgi sistemlerinde multimedya

Abstract

Teknolojinin gelişmesi ile internet üzerinden bilgi iletimi ve paylaşımınınsağlanması, Kartografya bilimine de bir çok yenilikler getirmektedir. Buyeniliklerden bazıları multimedya, sanal gerçeklik, animasyon ve simülasyon gibisunum teknikleridir. Sayısal ortamda bulunan veriler, sunum tekniklerine görehazırlanarak internetten kullanıcılara aktarılmaktadır.Bu çalışmada, Multimedya Kartografya (MK)'dan yola çıkarak, Coğrafi BilgiSistemleri (CBS)'nde Multimedya konusu ele alınmıştır. MK'nın; harita, grafik,metin, ses ve görüntüler (resim, video) gibi bölümleri ayrı ayrı incelenip, hangiprogramlarda düzenleneceği araştırılmıştır.Çalışmada, CBS ve MK ilişkisi değerlendirilerek, multimedyanın CBS'yesağladığı faydalar ve sorunlar irdelenmiştir. Multimedya özelliğine destek veren CBSyazılımları araştırılmıştır. CBS'de Multimedya için iyi bir sunum ortamı olaninternet, incelemeye alınmıştır. nternet üzerinden yayınlanan Türkiye ve dünyadakiCBS'de multimedya örnekleri analiz edilmiştir. Bu araştırma ve incelemelersonucunda Netcad 4.0 GIS ve MapInfo Professional 7.0 programlarında örnekuygulamalar sunulmuştur.Anahtar Kelimeler : Kartografya, Coğrafi Bilgi Sistemleri, Multimedya,nternet.

Some of these innovations are the presentation of the technics, such asmultimedia, virtual reality, animation and simulation. The information in thenumerical ambience are prepared in accordance with the presentation technics andtransfered to the users by internette.During these studies, starting with the Multimedia Cartography (MC), thesubject multymedia in Geographical Information Systems (GIS) had been taken intoconsideration during these studies. The departments of MC, such as cartography,graphics, texts, sounds, and images (photo, video etc.) were separately inspected andsearched on which programs they should be arraged.CBS and MK relations were evaluated during the studies; and the utilities andthe problems which multimedia supplied to CBS were scrutinized. The GISsoftwears which support the multimedia specifications had been researched. Theinternette which is a good presenting ambient for multimedia on GIS,had been takeninto observation. The multimedia examples of Turkey and the world GIS,broadcasted by internette were analyzed. Sample applications had been activated onNetcad 4.0 GIS and MapInfo Professionel 7.0 at the end of these investigations.Key Words : Cartography, Geographical Information Systems, Multimedia,Internet.
