İbn Meymun`un hayatı, eserleri ve Delâletü`l-Hâirîn adlı eseri üzerinde bir inceleme

Abstract

XII. Yüzyılın Endülüs doğumlu büyük Yahudi düşünürü Musa bin Meymun (1135-1204), Yahudi dünyasını olduğu kadar Yahudi olmayan dünyayı da etkilemiş bir ilahiyatçı, filozof ve hekimdir. ?Delâletü'l-Hâirîn? adlı eserinde, Aristo felsefesi ve devrinin etkin İslam felsefesini Yahudi inancı ile uzlaştırma gayretini başarıyla ortaya koymuştur. Yine bu eserinde İbn Meymun, Yahudi Kutsal Kitap literatüründe anlaşılması güç ve kapalı ifadeleri izah ederek, Kutsal Kitap'ın doğru anlaşılması için büyük çaba harcamıştır. ?Mişne Tora? adlı eserinde bir ilke imza atarak Yahudi hukukunu sistematize edip yorumlamış ve bu yönüyle Halaka literatüründe bir başvuru kaynağı haline gelmiştir. Devrin tanınmış bir hekimi de olan İbn Meymun, tıp alanında da yazdığı eserlerle adından söz ettirmiştir. Yahudiliğin on üç iman prensibi onun tarafından formüle edilmiştir. Yahudi dininin emir ve yasaklarını derlemiş ve bunların arkasında yatan illet ve hikmetleri açıklamış, bu illetlerin gerisinde mutlaka bir beşerî yarar olduğuna dikkat çekmiştir. Hayatını şeriatın doğru okunması, doğru anlaşılması ve yorumlanmasına adamıştır. Bu noktada akla ve ilahiyat bilgisine birlikte ihtiyaç olduğuna vurgu yapmıştır. Hayatının büyük bölümünde Yahudi cemaatinin liderliğini yapan İbn Meymun, ölümünden sonra da eserleri ve düşünceleri ile Yahudi dünyanın rehberliğini yapmaya devam etmektedir.

Moshe Ben Maimon (1135?1204), a famous Andulusian Jewish philosoher, theologian and physician of the eleventh century, had a continuing impact not only on the Jewish world but also on the non-Jewish world. In his magnum opus Dal?lat al-H?ir?n (The Guide for the Perplexed), he tried to harmonize the Aristotelian and Islamic Peripatetic philosophy with the Jewish belief. In the same work, he also endeavored for the accurate understanding of the Judaic Scriptures by explaining the difficult and ambigious statements therein. He is the first scholar in Jewish history to interpret and codify the Jewish legal heritage in his Mishnah Torah, which became posthumously a reference book in the Halakha literature.Being a celebrated physician of his age, Ben Maimon wrote also important books in the field of medical sciences. Besides, he formulated Jewish creed in thirteen articles. He compiled the commandments and prohibitions of Judaism and explained the reasons and wisdoms thereof, noting that they do contain a certain benefit for the mankind. He dedicated his life to the right reading, understanding and practice of the Jewish Law. In this context, he emphasized the importance of both rational and religious sciences. Spending most of his life as a leader of the Jewish community in Egypt, Ben Maimon continued to guide the Jewish community through his view and works even after his death.
