Ulusal yayın yapan gazetelerin siyasal seçimlere yönelik gündemi üzerine inceleme: 2004 ve 2009 yerel seçimleri örneği

Abstract

Çalışmada ulusal yayın yapan gazetelerin seçimlere yönelik gündemi incelenmiştir. 28 Mart 2004 ve 29 Mart 2009 tarihlerinde yapılan yerel seçimlerde Cumhuriyet, Hürriyet ve Zaman Gazeteleri'nde seçime giren siyasi partilerin haberlerde ne sıklıkla yer aldıkları, en çok hangi ilin haberleştirildiği gibi sorular içerik analizi yöntemiyle incelenmiştir. Yapılan incelemede seçimlerin mahalli olmasına rağmen liderlerin haberlerde daha etkin oldukları saptanmıştır.Sonuç olarak kitle iletişim araçları yaptıkları haberlerle belli bir kamuoyu oluşturmayı ve yönlendirmeyi hedeflemektedir. Bu amaçları nedeniyle kimi zaman bu yayın organları siyasi partilere yakın durmakta hatta desteklemekte, kimi zamanda bu siyasi partileri çıkarları gereği eleştirmektedirler

The national newspapers? were studying for determine the agenda on the elections .This studying include the local election, that made on 28 March 2004 and 29 March 2009, and which newspapers (Cumhuriyet, Hürriyet, Zaman) , how often made the news about parties working that participated the election and which province was made priority in the election. These national newspapers were researched with content analysis. Acording to the research the parties leader become a current issue at news in spite of these elections were mad local.As a result,the mass media aimed constitute the public opinion and oriented them with their news. So the newspaper acording to their aims , sometimes take sides parties? politics as well sometimes criticed and opposited them.
