Okul öncesi çocuklarda görülen saldırgan davranışların incelenmesi

Abstract

Bu araştırma, okul öncesi eğitim kurumlarına devam eden çocukların saldırgan davranışlarını ve okul öncesi öğretmenlerinin saldırgan davranışlarla baş etme stratejilerini inceleyen nitel bir çalışmadır.Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu, Kırşehir il merkezindeki beş bağımsız anaokulu ve bir ilkokula bağlı anasınıfına devam eden 48-72 aylık 13 erkek 7 kız toplam 20 çocuk ile bu okullarda görev yapan 12 okul öncesi öğretmeni oluşturmuştur. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak `Öğrenci Bilgi Formu, Okul Öncesi Sosyal Davranış Ölçeği-Öğretmen Formu, Öğretmen Bilgi Formu, Öğretmen Görüşme Formu ve Gözlem Formu` kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre, okul öncesi eğitim kurumlarına devam eden çocuklar arasında, fiziksel saldırganlığın ilişkisel saldırganlığa göre daha fazla gözlendiği ortaya çıkmıştır. Okul öncesi eğitim kurumlarına devam eden erkek çocuklar kızlara oranla daha fazla fiziksel saldırganlık davranışı gösterirken, ilişkisel saldırganlık davranışlarının kız çocuklar arasında daha çok gözlendiği belirlenmiştir. Saldırgan davranışların bir nesne, etkinlik, sosyal ilgi ve dikkat elde etme yada bunlardan kaçınma durumlarında ortaya çıktığı, özellikle sosyal ilgi ve dikkat elde etmenin saldırganlık davranışlarının ortaya çıkmasında daha etkili olduğu saptanmıştır. Okul öncesi öğretmenlerin saldırgan davranışlarla baş etmede kullandıkları stratejiler; sözel uyarı, II. tip ceza verme, görmezden gelme, çözüm yolu sunma, bilişsel ikna, çocuğun yerini değiştirme/mola verme, I tip ceza verme, rehberlik sağlama, sorunu anlama, yardım alma ve empati olarak belirlenmiştir.Anahtar Kelimeler: Okul Öncesi Eğitim, Saldırgan Davranışlar, Saldırgan Davranışlarla Baş Etme Stratejileri

This qualitative research examines the aggressive behaviour patterns of the young children attending preschool education institutions and coping strategies of the teachers with these aggressive behaviour patterns.Working group of the research is comprised of 13 boys, 7 girls total twenty 48-72-month-old children from five independent kindergartens and from the preschool part of a primary school, all located in the centre of Kırşehir, and 12 preschool teachers working in these institutions. As the data collection tools, `Student Information Form, Preschool Social Behaviour Scale-Teacher Form, Teacher Information Form, Teacher Interview Form and Observation Form` have been used. The results of the research reveal that physical aggressiveness has more frequently been observed among the preschool children when compared to the relational aggressiveness. It has been observed that boys show much more aggressiveness than the girls, but when relational aggressiveness is taken into consideration, more aggressiveness has been observed among the girls. It has also been determined that the aggressive behaviour patterns are seen in the situations when an object, activity and social attention are needed or avoided and that the need to attract social attention particularly aggravate the aggressive behaviour patterns. The coping strategies of the teachers with the aggressive behaviour patterns have been seen to be verbal warning, 2nd type punishment, ignoring, suggesting solutions, cognitive persuasion, changing the place of the child/giving a break, 1st type punishment, providing guidance, understanding the problem, getting help and empathy.Key Words: Preschool Education, Aggressive Behaviour Patterns, Strategiesto Cope With Aggressive Behaviour Patterns
