Abstract
Sultan III. Ahmed dönemi, Osmanlı tarihi araştırmacılarının en çok ilgisini çeken devirdir. Viyana bozgunu sonrası tahta çıkan III. Ahmed, özellikle siyasi arenada kaybettikleri toprakları geri almak için mücadele vermiş, ülkenin her sorunu ile ilgilenmiştir. III. Ahmed'in Hatt-ı Hümayunlarını incelediğimiz bu çalışmada; III. Ahmed döneminin (1703-1718) olaylarına ışık tutulmaya çalışıldı. Yeniçerilerin haklarından vakıf ve ulema sınıfının sorunlarına, Osmanlı Venedik-Avusturya-Rus savaşlarından, Osmanlı-İran savaşlarına kadar birçok hususta Hatt-ı Hümayunların verdiği bilgiler dâhilinde meydana gelen hadiseleri anlatmaya çalıştık. III. Ahmed'in kendi dönemi içinde meydana gelen hadiseleri belgelere Hatt-ı Hümayunlara dayanarak tespit etmeye çalıştık. Diplomatik açıdan değerlendirmeye tabi tuttuğumuz bu dönemde yaşanan olayları irdelemeye çalıştık. Sultanın kendi yazmış olduğu (veya yazdırdığı) hükümler yoluyla, onun vuku bulan hadiselere bakış açısını kendi kaleminden öğrenmeye çalıştık. İncelediğimiz bu tez, III. Ahmed'in kendi dönemini aydınlatması bakımından önemli bir kaynak olacaktır. Sultan III. The Ahmed period was the period that attracted the most attention of the Ottoman historical researchers.
